This is what a buckeye fan told me on youtube:

1. OSU is gonna pass it way more.
beanie is a loss, but he's replaceable.
2 lauranitias wasn't all that great
3 hartline is garbage for OSU
4 jenkins was the best in a while at OSU
5osu lost 1 shitty linemen who got arrested
6 osu gained an all-big ten linemen from scUM
7 osu's line will be better.
8 wr's are faster and better
9 dline is better
10 lb's are better
osu goes 12-0,11-1, or 10-2.
usc, penn state
ummm goes 5-7, 6-6, or 7-5.
pathetic.

I tend to agree with everything that guy wrote. Maybe not point 10, but the rest is pretty true.

I know Blue Durham is gonna chew my hide for saying this, but I'm saying it anyway. (looks around for blue)ahhh... This poster off of you tube sounds to sensible to be a true Ohio State fan. As a matter of fact, the poster sounds to sensible to be posting on you tube. Maybe this guy knows someone who knows someone who's distant cousin kissed someone who was passing through Columbus. So by virtue of that they have scabies and by having scabies, I mean they are Ohio State fans.

You could argue degrees on some points, but he is grounded.

Again bluebloodedfan, have a real conversation with some of these fans; many really do know their football. Check out poguemahone's (Sam) blog www.wewillalwayshavetempe.com - IIRC, he is currently an OSU student.

However, you need to learn the difference between "to" and "too" (and I note that most OSU types do know this - and don't judge the whole by those who post on blogs) and I have to learn what the hell a "scabie" (or "scaby") is.

Agree with 2-4. 5-10 are iffy. If these guys were so awesome why weren't they playing last year? uos lost somewhere around 22 guys that either started or had significant playing time from last year. Kinda doubt they're gonna be a better team than they were last year.
Unless Pryor's arm is vastly improved it's going to be interesting to see #1 play out, as well. That could be a nice advantage for the opposition.

1. OSU is gonna pass it way more. They hardly passed this year, so that seems plausible.
beanie is a loss, but he's replaceable. Ehhh...sketchy. At least the hurt, gimpy version they had for much of last year is replaceable.
2 lauranitias wasn't all that great Agreed.
3 hartline is garbage for OSU Not garbage, but not all that.
4 jenkins was the best in a while at OSU Agreed.
5osu lost 1 shitty linemen who got arrested Agreed.
6 osu gained an all-big ten linemen from scUM Entirely plausible.
7 osu's line will be better. Given #5 and #6, I buy it.
8 wr's are faster and better This seems entirely plausible. Their receivers weren't that grat.
9 dline is better They only lost 1 D lineman, and his replacement was a 5-star. That's plausible.
10 lb's are better I disagree with this.
osu goes 12-0,11-1, or 10-2. 10-2 seems likely to me.
usc, penn state
ummm goes 5-7, 6-6, or 7-5. Entirely reasonable.

1.) Even so, Terrelle is not a passer. Throw it, I dare you.

1-b.) I doubt this. Beanie was gimpy but Herron is not quite as good as gimpy Wells even. Come on, he was a Heisman candidate last year. I don't think he's replacable.

2.) Laurinaitis had a great story, ESPN knew this, they preached this, and thus he is overrated. I agree, he is not fast enough to be great. Good maybe, not great.

3.) Hartline was OK, not AA caliber, but good nonetheless.

4.) Cosigned.

5.) Same.

6.) I don't disagree, plausible but not likely.

7.) Experience will indeed make it better.

8.) Wide Receivers are faster, probably. They are arguably more talented, a stretch to be fair. They are considerably less experienced however, they are very young.

9.) I agree.

10.) I disageree also. Two LBs lost to the NFL do not instill confidence in yet another young position group.

OSU will go 12-0, 11-1, or 10-2: I wholeheartedly disagree. USC is a loss, Penn State is a likely loss, Iowa is a toss-up, and inexperience might lose one to someone they shouldn't lose to. I'd say 9-3 is most likely.

UM will go 5-7, 6-6, 7-5: 7-5 is probably it.

We're several years behind OSU talent wise. Why is this surprising? Their depth, especially on the D, is way better than ours. Tressel's last 2 recruiting classes have been fantastic. I'd say the Buckeye poster was pretty sensible. 6-6 or 7-5 seems just about right for our record for this year.

Hartline wasn't garbage. Hartline was better than Robiskie, I thought.

Lauranitis wasn't garbage. He was picked in the first day for a reason. Maybe he wasn't an athletic playmaker, but I would be happy if Obi Ezeh played like him this year.

Well, there is a difference between saying "Lauranitis wasn't all that" and "Lauranitis is garbage". He wasn't one of the 5 best LB's in college football, which is the way he was treated. He was perfectly good, and he would have been Michigan's best LB by a long shot last year. I think they'll have a hard time find a replacement that will play to the same level starting next year.
