ESPN rankings out

Submitted by Jayshmie007 on

Well sort of. If you click the link http://espn.go.com/college-football/team/_/id/130/michigan-wolverines and go to the bottom right it shows our top 5 recruits with a grade. But if you click "view all recruits" and see the list they don't show up.

Well anyways it looks like both Richardson and RJS are 81's and Bolden, Funchess, Ross are all 80's. All five will be at least four stars (79 is the cutoff for 4 star.)

Discuss.

Leave it to ESPN to do something that stupid. Pretty sure their rankings aren't going to be released for another couple weeks and yet anyone willing to do a bit of research could learn an awful lot.

Anyway, last year 81's occupied spots 43-118 and the rest of the 150 was 80's so all 5 could be in the ESPN150. All five were also in the Watch List. Worth noting that if our silent commit is who most seem to think, he was also on the Watch list so that could 6 in the 150.

ESPN rated Devin Gardner an 81 and Denard Robinson as well.

And looking back at that class of '09 list. It's painful to see how so many of them are either gone or irrelevant. (Tate, LaLota, Turner, Emilien, Isaiah Bell, QWashington, Stokes) (!)

TRich's film looks really incredible. I didn't realize how good he was until I watched it. Much better than Dior Mathis. I would say the same about Delonte, but I won't because he went blue.

Regardless of what those rankings say I don't think they are accurate at this poin. Luginbell just tweeted yesterday that the ESPN staff is meeting June 8th to rank the kids.

WRT possible commit #13, I noticed that Armani Reeves didn't have his rating

He's a 77 (again I don't know if that's how they'll all end up), vs. the 79 Wayne Morgan receives.

So for those keeping score:
Scout likes Reeves better
Rivals, 247, and apparently ESPN like Morgan
I like 'em both, but what the hell do I know

At least it doesn't appear so, not yet. Alabama, Miami FL, Penn State are his biggest, along with ours. Having been a Rutgers lean for a long time may have affected that. Beyond the biggies he's got Maryland, BC, UCONN, Syracuse, Virginia.
He's a top kid in any event, and so is Reeves

Not a big fan of score rating players unless it's in a video game. I'm getting Michigan to the national championship in NCAA football 2012 even if their overall ranking is a 72.

I just don't feel you get much use out of it doing it that way and much prefer the 150 watchlist.

Man espn rankings are all over the place, Ferguson is one of the lowest rated commits on all the other services and espn has him as ND's highest commit. Odd
