ND ticket strategy
I would appreciate anyones advice about acquiring tickets for this years ND game.
*Have season ticket holders received their tickets and if not when will they?
*Considering price and demand better to buy now on stub-hub/other service or wait?
*I had luck using Craig's list last year but I see nothing this year anywhere including the student section where I really wanted to find tickets.
Appreciate any and all feedback about tickets for ND-I live out of state so very nervous about trying to find a pair on game day please advise.
Go Blue!
I'm probably going to resort to prayer.
Gonna need some help from the man upstairs to find 4 for $500 or less.
finding two at that price!!
Nothing would keep me out. First ever night game...
I'm going for free.......yay!
Don't take it personally, but I'm not exactly wishing you good will at the moment.
I'm curious as well. Also, if any season ticket holders have options to get packages before others, I would like to make arrangements to buy the tickets at a modest profit for the ticket holder.
I would like to make arrangements to buy the tickets at a huge profit for the ticket holder.
How did you know that I am huge?? Are you watching me??
Very tempting. I would like to gouge the buyer for all they are worth and bathe in my profit. But I feel bad b/c you are a michigan fan just like me. On the other hand, I could take a ND fan to the cleaner and not lose a wink of sleep. Good plan except for the fact that I would allow 4 more ND fans into the stadium which is UNACCEPTABLE!!
I have no problem paying top dollar to a Michigan fan direct instead of the Stub Hub overhead. I fully aware of the market conditions. Email me at [email protected]
I would love to get them over to you but some family members still in DET area are taking them. At face value nonetheless!!!!
Yes we do and it has been happening quite frequently the last few years. I'm sure someone will post the news if/when we get an offer to buy extras.
its please advice
I don't think students get their tickets til the summer, so I doubt you're gonna find student tickets until then.
Same goes for non-student season ticket holders, they usually come in August.
have received their renewals and were supposed to have this in by May 13th. My guess is the price for ND tickets will skyrocket as the game approaches (night game, big rivalry, likely also plenty of pregame and postgame festivities).
have received their renewals and were supposed to have this in by May 13th??? Confusing-does this mean that season ticket holders have recieved their tickets or that the renewal requests were recieved by May 13th? When do season ticket holders recieve tickets (when will these hit the market?) is it August?
Tickets come in August for season ticket holders.
My dad has been season a season ticket holder for 20+ years and they have never come in august. Did they change it this year or something?
Usually we have them by now
My tickets have showed up in the mail the first week in August every year I've had them. Are you talking about the renewal form or the actual tickets. I'm pretty sure you are mistaken that you have actual tickets in hand 3 months before every other ticket holder gets theirs.
I have been a season ticket holder for 10 years and my tickets have never come any month other than August.
My renewal application comes in April and is due in May (May 13 this year).
The tickets are usually mailed around August 1.
...ask them to ask around.
Season tickets are received usually in June.
Season ticket holders often start selling now (or even earlier). I have mine up for grabs for a variety of games, but not ND. Sorry, it's my brother's bachelor party.
So I'm in the market, too. I have a possible pair from the Alumni Assoc and four more from a fellow alum in Chicago who goes to just a couple games a year. I've purchased some of his season tickets in the past and do so whenever he's selling.
I "lucked" into those and he could get cold feet, but it's about the only hope of getting a good price on them.
looking to sell? set of 2 or 4?
I am looking to buy 2 and my info is in the spreadsheet.
you spelled received wrong, hope those golden tickets come out pretty quick, Hoke.
I'm a season ticket holder, so I'm all set. We were suppose to pay for our tickets by May 13th, otherwise you lose your seats. I won't get my actual tickets till august, so you may just want to either start whoring yourself or drop your life savings, thats going to be one of the hardest tickets ever to find.
Phase 1: Collect underpants.
Phase 2: ???
Phase 3: Attend Michigan-Notre Dame game!
I got to the Alumni Association before it opened on the day they opened for ticket sales and there was a pretty big line there with everyone gunning for those tickets. I already know I have two for that game, but if I were you I would troll stubhub and craigslist and just buy them as soon as you can. Doesn't matter if they aren't next to each other, you can always sell them again and try to get better ones. The closer it gets to Gameday, the more expensive they will be.
This doesn't bode well for me as someone who had to mail the form in. I FedEx'd it to arrive early in the morning but it sounds like that might be no good.
Did you hear back about getting tickets through the Alumni Association? If you have I'm guessing I'm out of luck?
Did you select the package with the SDSU tickets, or did you just want hte ND tickets? I Fed-Exed mine for morning delivery (not first delivery, but before 10:30). And I chose the package, which gets priority over all ND-only ticket requests. I received the ND/SDSU package. So you should be fine assuming you selected the package.
For general reference, I have been doing the same thing for a few years, and NEVER received anything but my first choice package.
BTW -- you should check to see if your cc was charged. Then email them and ask what tickets you received (including your alum id number).
through the Alumni Association through the mail in process?
Again, I didn't receive an email or any other notice, but I saw that my credit card was charged and then followed up with the alumni association by email.
I with they would charge my credit card (you won't hear me say that often).
Yep I only chose the ND/SDSU package, I just hadn't heard anything either good or bad. My CC hasn't been charged yet either.
I think they're still processing the everything, and running all the credit cards is a big process, so I would just keep checking your credit card. The website said that they will email you when your order is processed, but I never received an email. Once I saw the charge, the alumni association was quick to respond to my email inquiry.
Just got the email - I got em! So pumped!!
I chose ND only for 1st priority, 2nd priority of package... I checked my CC, but no dice :(
I'd wait. No one has their tickets yet so you are paying on a false demand. Tickets will be the cheapest the few days before the game because people will be worried they won't get squat for em. patience people it's May.
I have been hunting these tickets down for awhile now trying to find a decent deal. It's not going to happen so I am going to just fork over the cash and get my ass in a seat. Around 400ish will get you a seat in the endzones, 650+ for anything inside the 20's. I don't see this changing much between now and then. Maybe a slight bump as tickets dry up.
I don't think there are any great strategies for this one. It's going to be a very tough ticket. Be prepared to pay more (possibly considerably more) than you usually would.
I'm assuming single game tix for the ND game won't be made public (even though they were two years ago) and us regular members of the public will be lucky if they're packaged with other teams. I'll likely be trying my luck scalping.
Either pay $300+/ticket on stubhub or craigslist, beg every season ticket holder you know, or show up to the golf course around 8am that day and hang out all day until you find someone who gets too drunk to go to the game and try to buy their tickets. I lucked out and found a season ticket holder who didnt want his tickets for the season but wanted to keep the rights so I bought all his tickets. Before that happened, I was just asking everyone I could think of and keeping an eye on the web.
I'm actually making the trip to Green Bay the thursday before the ND game to catch the Packers-Saints Kickoff extravaganza that hopefully won't be wiped out by the lockout. So I will be watching that game with a bunch of Badger fans...joy
Wait until the middle to end of August. Prices are always more expensive during the summer because there is high demand due to anticipation for Michigan football. Once the season tickets are mailed at the begining of August the market will flood with tickets and lower the price. Don't get me wrong this game will not sell for much less than $195 per ticket but buying a ticket now is pointless since they aren't in-hand. I've always delt with craigslist because cash is king and most of the time I find better deals. I have been buying this way for years and it always works.
I am with you MX however I am out of state so it makes things a little tougher. I can't exactly walk up with cash-have to do pay pal or agree to meet the day before game day.
My Plan:
Errr... I have none. Looking for a generous scalper.
to hijack the thread but I am a season ticket holder who lives in Western Nebraska (I know I know) I only make it up to 2 or 3 games a year so I have tickets to several games available. The seats are not great but at least they are in the stadium. I can't help with Nortre Dame, Nebraska or Ohio State but the others I can part with. Just looking to break even not make a profit.
e-mail me at [email protected] i am in kc and lookig for tickets
Hey would you please e-mail me at [email protected]. I live in Ga and looking desprately for tix to this season games. Thanks! --- Jay
As much as I want to go to this game, be a part of history in what surely will be the highest attended football game ever, I know that it will be an arm and a leg to attend. I think every young alumni I know is planning on attending, so I would imagine that this game is going to be insane in terms of ticket prices.
I know ND is the only night game scheduled, but could any of our other games be a night game i.e. Nebraska?
