I thought Norm was great on SNL. Haven't seen his new show yet, but this bit was decent. Although, any extra attention for college hockey is a plus. College hockey is hands down the best kept secret in the American sports culture.

I'm biased, b/c I think Norm is the funniest guy in the world..

But I've seen a few critiques about his material on this show not being "current", and I don't think that is really the whole point of the show.  He uses a few current stories but also has funny bits using some older stuff too.. I don't think that is a detriment to the show b/c it's all funny for the most part, and even if he uses a clip/story you've seen before, his take on it is usually very different.

Tosh.0 does web redemptions for internet clips that are 5-10 years old and I haven't heard any similar criticism of that show.  Just my two cents.

Btw, if you get the chance to see Norm's stand up live, DO IT.  I saw him a few years ago and it is the hardest I have ever laughed in my life, by a wide margin.

The way he says "Wait, what" irks me.  I don't know why, but it feels rushed and lacks confidence.

That is all.

I did enjoy hockeybear's impromptu (for me) appearance.

Peaceful college campuses?  Apparently he has never been to East Lansing.  Or if he did, the couches must have stopped burning by that point.

I liked Norm a lot back in the day when he had a sitcom and everything. He just sort of dropped off for a bit it seems. He's a funny dude, so I'll give Sports Show a shot, though I think it'll flop.

Norm is awesome but like so many other talented comedians I think he has a dark side.  He drinks and gambles a lot.  He had $25k on Pacquio this past weekend.  It seems like all of his projects are short-lived because he either gets bored and quits or wears out his welcome.  I like Sports Show but I don't expect it to be around for too long.
