I think Mike Modano is going to have a great game. This might be one of his last opportunities to get it done. I can't wait...
Totally jacked up for this game. With Clowe out it puts even more pressure on a lackluster performing Marleau....I am just hoping that is a good thing as it will cause him to be even less effective than he already has.
Modano may be old but every time i watch him play, I see that hunger come across his face. I think he wants it bad enough and like Babcock said the other night, only those who have the strongest of desires to compete will still be around this time of year.

Not that losing Franzen isn't critical...but he was a liability in game 5...I like this news and am getting the local Blackhawks crowd geared up for this one...needless to say I'm not having much success...go wings!!
I am trying to get all my Kings fans out here to root for the Wings also. Nothing like getting in their ears and whispering (in my best fake Russian accent), "Do you really want the team that knocked you out of the playoffs in OT to win? Join the Red army my purple and black friends, it is the only way to the hockey promised land" We will be fired up on the West Coast for it!
Hopefully Datsyuk's wrist is in good shape! Time for Modano to do something special.
I really don't see us losing this game. Clowe is out and Marleau has been less than stellar. Modano is in for Franzen which should help us because Mule has been hurting. I think Modano will come out firing as will the rest of the team. Plus, we're at home.

Niemi can not continue to be the hero for San Jose right now. If they continue to build off of his performance SJ will get the chance they need. Shooting 32 shots and have 4 golden chances and not capitalizing on them does not a good feeling make.
