OT: Can the Red Wings Avoid the Sweep? (YES! WOO!!)/ NHL Thread

Submitted by I Bleed Maize N Blue on

Game 4 on. Setoguchi did a slewfoot on Bertuzzi, no call, Bertuzzi went after him and shoved him, jawing back and forth when they got to their benches.

Wings going hard to the net, Niemi misplayed the puck behind the net but scrambled to keep it out.

I'm not a lip reader, but when Setoguchi and Bertuzzi were jawing at each other from the benches, it looked like Setoguchi called him the same thing Kobe Bryant called that ref a couple weeks ago. Not that anything will come of it.

My Bruins are looking to advance to the conference finals for the first time in 19 years and looking for their first Cup in 39 years. I am beyond excited. When they dropped the first 2 games at home to Montreal in the first round I posted on here saying that they always let me down just when I allow myself to get my hopes up. Well, my hopes are officially up again.

That's why he is one of the greatest defensemen in the history of the NHL.  Amazing coordination there to one-hop that shot and actually place it where he wanted it.

In other news, Brandon Inge has officially dropped below .200 after his strikeout in the top of the 3rd inning.  He also already has 5 errors this year at 3rd.

After three games of San Jose receiving high marks from the East German judge, JR basically said the refs were giving this game to the Wings.

Even assuming Roenick was right, I think it's about time the refs did anything but try their best to steal a game from us. I think the officiating has been pretty good this series for the most party actually, but last year was ridiculous against SJ.

You might want to take out one of their best players first. That's why the Bruins collapsed. They weren't the same after Krejci went down. I fear they won't be the same now that Bergeron has a concussion (reportedly).

Annnddd here we go again.. For a veteran team they seem to make poor defensive choices at the worst times. How does no one pick Boyle up?? That's almost the only way he scores.
