Good to see Drapes in, he played with a TON of energy in the first round and I see him keeping it up. I was expecting Babs to be brining in Mikey Mo tonight as well for either Eaves or Miller...why sign the guy for the year if were not playing him? This is what we picked him up for....

I've been waiting for someone to create this thread all day so I could find a feed. Mgoblog saves the day.

I'm not surprised Versus/NBC jipped us in favor of the Caps, but I can't believe CBC is playing Boston-Philly over Detroit considering Windsor has a ton of Red Wings fans.

I was thinking that the NHL wanted to potentially get game 5 and 6 of that series on Friday and Sunday for prime time... but game 6 is scheduled for Monday, so I have no idea what they're thinking.

Playing back to back is almost an advantage for younger teams, it seems. I remember they made the Wings play back to back nights during the '09 Cup finals. I was pissed because that obviously favored the younger (and healthier at the time) Penguins.

today is a must win. but also it would be nice to see the red wings as the 5th team to ever come back from a 3-0 deficit

boys are playing well out of the gate.  it seems like the line changes and change of scenery has helped.  hopefully we can keep the pedal down from here on out.

also, i love pavel dishing out the hits to clowe.  that's how you get under someone's skin, not by hacking, slashing, and cross-checking like a dirty cunt.

when Kronwall lays the boom on somebody, but I am the only one who thinks he could be called for charging on some of them. He seems to leave his feet on some of his big hits, not like they call charging anymore though.

That's what happens when a tap to the face causes the other player to scream in agony and curl into the fetal position on the ice until the whistle gets blown.

am I the only one getting annoyed with our centers getting tossed for  faceoffs? I know the league is attempting to stop cheating at the puck drop but come on. Thorton is still cheating by doing one continuous motion when he needs to have his stick on the ice as the visitor.

Agreed. Regardless if we make this a series or not, Howard's progress is GREAT for the future of the Red Wings. I'll admit I questioned if he could be a Stanley Cup goalie at first, but I think he's proven his value and then some in this series. If there's nothing else we can take away from this series, it's great to see Howard playing this outstanding.
