OT: NCAA B-Ball Championship Game Open Thread
Just when we're getting to be good in men's basketball, it goes and dies.
Wow.
Uconn just won me $330. Oh glorious dayyyyyyyy
I get excited by the Tournament, but the final game leaves me feeling empty about the whole thing.
That was fun. Now let's never have it happen again.
Nothing but cheaters and crooks on the court with gene smith and Calhoun.
This game wasted 2 hours of my life.
Does he come off as arrogant? Sure. Is he right? Yup.
But gets on his knees for Calhoun.
Yay! Now this awful victory can be vacated in a few years!
I give up.
Good grief that game was awful. I was rooting for Butler, but by the middle of the second half, I thought they didn't even deserve to win with that putrid shooting percentage.
ever again. Holy hell, was that ugly.
Now we're going to have to hear how awesome the Big East is again...
All I caught was the hair.
You just knew the Stu dunk was going to be in One Shining Moment.
At the end...
I started channel surfing during TV timeouts and I eventually found an old suspense movie on This called "The Pit and The Pendulum", heavily influenced by the works of Edgar Allen Poe. The torture and psychological breakdown depicted in the movie were actually easier on the eyes than watching whatever the eff that was UConn and Butler just vomited all over the court. The constant canine puns at the end DID NOT HELP EITHER. GAH.
I wish I had been watching that....
It's actually a decent movie if you're into the genre. There's some pretty spooky scenes in the movie and the ending is great too (not written by Poe and unique to this film, as far as I know).
If you like that, might I recommend...
The "special effects" are God awfully dated, but it's a smart plot, and some nice spooks for the genre. Better than the lame remake.
I also found out the whole damn movie is on youtube....

Looks like you can download it too. Ah, public domain. Though at night with the lights dimmed on the widescreen is always better.
House of Wax, the Fly...or in that series, The House of Usher, The Raven, the Masque of the Red Death...Vinnie was in them all...
