FROZEN FOUR puzzle is complete

Submitted by MaizeyBlue on

With Notre Dame grabbing the last spot, there will be two teams from the CCHA and two from the WCHA in the Frozen Four.  Game times have been posted:

Thursday April 7th at 5:00 pm EST:

Notre Dame vs. Minnesota Duluth

and the late game at 8:30 pm EST:

Michigan vs. North Dakota

Personally I'm glad we have the late game, but it kills me everytime to wait these 10+ days!

I hate ND too, but I still have Brooklyn-style rage towards them for the 2008 Frozen Four and the 2009 CCHA Finals.  Revenge would be sweet...

I hope they win against Minnesota Duluth, honestly.  MN-Duluth beat Yale impressively.  I know we can beat Notre Dame.

Does this mean in all pre-game preparation to avoid confusion, we have to designate the two ND's as YTND and NTND?

Would have been so much easier (and pleasing) if ND (YTND) had just lost...

Because the Frozen Four tries its damndest to not make any damn sense every year, Notre Dame is going to fall ass backwards into a national title, and it will infuriate me.

Logic dictates that the winner of our semi-final is your national champion, so that's not happening.

Michigan's not really supposed to be in the Frozen Four at all.  And Red's not great at winning in the semi's (2-8), so if Michigan gets to the finals, it should be backwards enough that Michigan, with Red's 2-0 recond in National Championship games should take over.  Other than that, Notre Dame got an incredibly lucky bounce to beat Merrimack and they didn't look fantastic in their win over UNH.  And neither their special teams nor their goalie, the two "standard" components of a NC winnng team are particularly awesome.  Shoot.  You're probably right :-(

Funny how the two CCHA teams who got their asses handed to them last Friday are in the Frozen Four, and neither of the teams who provided the asswhippings even made it out of the first round.  Single-elimination hockey is a helluva thing.

I'm sure as hell not complaining though, GO BLUE

seriously how did the Irish make the Frozen Four?  What a cluster, and yeah, UND and Michigan should not be matched up (yet).  I hope Duluth kicks ND's ass.
