The content is behind a paywall, but here's his top two picks

1. Michigan State Spartans -- The Spartans' basketball program, led by Tom Izzo, is hard to top, having been to six Final Fours in the past 11 seasons. The only hoops coach who has had a stronger run at one school would be Duke's Mike Krzyzewski, and Blue Devil football isn't close to being where MSU is thanks to Mark Dantonio, the reigning Big Ten Coach of the Year. Dantonio just led the Spartans to an 11-2 season and a share of the Big Ten title.

2. Ohio State Buckeyes -- Jim Tressel has dominated the Big Ten (and OSU's archrival Michigan) for the past decade, leading the Buckeyes to a BCS title along the way, while Thad Matta did great work at Xavier before leading Ohio State to a Final Four. This is Matta's seventh season in Columbus and every one has been at least a 20-win season. His current team is picked by many as the national title favorite, and if they can roll off six straight, you could make a strong case that the Buckeyes would deserve the top spot here.

Also note that Texas is #3 and Wisky is #6

ugh...

P.S. I wanted to put most of that in a facny yellow box but I suck at HTML

OSU I could see (not considering the cheating), but little brother as #1? One fluky football season coupled with their worst basketball season in years, and somehow they top the list?

Anyone else like how he has exactly two upvotes for every comment and Joker has three downvotes for each? I think we might have a serious case of big_house_500th going on here.

Also, what the hell is with the picture signature? Is there any reason you decided to make your posts extra long for a picture that could've been your avatar much easier?

No, I do not have any other accounts also under my control.  The picture signature is because the site still is not accepting avatar uploads and I was tired of going around au naturale all the time.  I shrunk it down to the standard 85x85 from the original.  If you measure response boxes for my posts vs. the response boxes for other posts you will see that the picture at the end does not add to the overall length of the comment box, other than for extra-long responses.

how they don't have 1 and 2 switched, at the very least.  If it's tenure-long, Tressel dismantles Dantonio and Izzo only beats Matta.  If it's the most current season, Tressel at least edges Dantonio and Matta kills Izzo.

Hopefully in a few years, Michigan will be the unquestioned number one on that list.

At MSU, Izzo is a Jud Heathcoate clone who stumbled into the Ed Martin Fiasco and had the best players in the state begging to play for him for twelve years.  Dantonio is a douchebag who has had one decent year and one very good year, but still hasn't sustained success and would have gone 4-8 last year if he had done the right thing and suspended all of the criminals on his team.

At TSIO, both coaches and programs are so dirty that you have no idea how "great" they would be on a level playing field.  The basketball team benefits from rent-a-stars on the way to the NBA, and the football team has been dirty forever.  Tressel committed violations at YSU and was rewarded with the TSIO job.  When Tressel gets fired and TSIO has to vacate a season or two, will he still be part of the "second-best" coaching tandem in the country?

Feldman could have done better with a blindfold and a dart board.

Let's see how that changes next year after Dantonio's team is forced to finally play a varsity schedule.  We all know the convicts will be on the field, but he loses his top defenders and now has to play Nebraska and Ohio State.  Beyond that, the trick plays and incredible luck only work one season.

Izzo's great but Dantonio's never won an outright conference title.

Hard to argue with OSU, but Muschamp at Florida along with Billy D. may soon prove to be a contender.

BYU's coaching combo is pretty good.

Texas, too.

I suspect Muschamp will be more like Zook than Meyer at UF. This was a really strange hire by the Gators. Florida is one of the Top 5 jobs in CFB and they hired a guy with zero HC experience. His main "selling point" is his chest-bumping, intense personality....that doesn't usually win a whole lot of ball games.

Oddly enough, the only reason UF might be any good in the near future is because Charlie Weis is on the staff as the OC. Go figure.

Logic would say that you would not hire a coach from the same tree as the cheating coach who left, but OSU sold their soul when they overlooked JT transgressions at YSU when he replaced Coop, so who knows. I would love to see the WVU jaded like reaction from MSU if this happened though.

before it became widely known that Tressel is a cheat and a liar, and someone who still refuses to accept responsibility for what he did?  Or maybe ethics just did not enter into the calculus?

Jim Boeheim and Doug Marrone

Marrone resurrected a program that Greg Robinson cratered.

If Hoke does the same, I'd say he goes in that list as well.
