Hagelin to sign with NY Rangers
I know there had been hope that Carl would not be signed by the NYR and ink with the Wings instead, but alas, it is not to be....

I had a completely unrealistic fear that Hagelin was to sign with the Rangers like, now. Without playing in his last 6 games. Which, yes, I know is ridiculous, there's almost now way he comes back for a senior year just to leave before the play-offs. Even after I calmed myself down, I had to click on this and read everything just to make double sure.
I blame Hogan's, Summers', Louie's and Wohlberg's injuries for the paranoia.
But if I could go see Hagelin play for them, it might be just love (at least temporarily). I miss hockey in Hartford.

Getting signed out of College is a bigger deal than getting drafted out of high school.
Teams can draft you, see you play four years and decide... no thanks.
It sounded like there was some hesitation on his part, to play there. Maybe the allure of Wall Street nearby finally appealed to him. He's a bright kid with a business background in the family.
