OT: ESPN Names All-Time Best Coaches from Each State

Submitted by michWolves2580 on

ESPN Insider Bruce Feldman (beyond the pay wall) has made a list of 50 coaches who were the best in their state all time:

Interesting ones are Bo for Michigan (thank god over Izzo), Woody for Ohio, Geno Auriemma won for Connecticut for his work with the WBB team, and two women made the list: Pat Summit for Tennessee for WBB, and C. Vivian Stringer (Rutgers WBB) for New Jersey.

So, it's the state where these coaches made their reputations, not where they came from....because I was ready to say West Virginia = Fielding Yost, but that doesn't fit the criteria.

I'm a little confused why this is an Insider article?  Aren't the Insider articles supposed to give you extra information, and not just a piece that ESPN does in their summer time filling space?  Like the idea, just a little confused...

But, then, it IS ESPN I guess
