OT(ish)- The other basketball documentary this weekend.
HBO did a story on UNLV basketball which was another bigtime program in the same era as the Fab 5. The trainlers have looked great, but I don't have HBO and cannot find a torrent. Did anyone see it or know where I can find a torrent? I'd love to know if it was any good.
The Fab 5 and The Runnin Rebels redefined the game of college basketball and made it the game we see on TV today.

and tuned in too late to watch. Will be DVR'g it though... the Runnin Rebs of that era were my favorite non-UM team what with Johnson, Augman, D-town's own Anderson Hunt, etc. When they lost to Duke to ruin the undefeated season, it was the first real sports disappointment in my life.

it was well done, but then again HBO always does a great job on sports documentaries. That said, it was not as good as 'The Fab 5' was.
But it started early and it didn't get the beginning. So I'm set to watch it at 7 pm tonight.
If anyone could throw up a torrent I'd be forever greatful.
It's funny how UNLV is kind of forgotten when it comes to programs that broke the mold. They definitely were the counterpoint to Duke/Indiana before we were. But I guess it was more stunning to have a "rebel" program at a traditionalist place like Michigan than at a newbie school in Las Vegas.
