Some quick notes on non-revenue sports to take your mind off football. Seems like Women's Cross Country is really good. The rest [EDIT: of the fall sports] don't seem that Leaders and Best-ish. Maryland's inclusion will make B1G titles significantly harder for a few sports. 

Men's Cross Country
First year under new head coach Kevin Sullivan
Ranked #22 in pre-season poll.
Opened with a non-scoring Michigan Open, where they mostly just ran as a group.
Stated as heading to Kentucky Invitational in Lexington this Saturday but for some reason it's not listed on their schedule. Black and Gold Invitational in Iowa City on September 20th would be next.

Women's Cross Country
Ranked #1 in pre-season poll.
Opened with non-scoring Michigan Open where they had the first 10 finishers.
Shannon Osika is the Big Ten Athlete of the Week
Next up, Black and Gold Invitational in Iowa City, IA, September 20th.
 
Women's Field Hockey
2-2 on year.
Opened new Ocker Field with wins over William & Mary and CMU this past weekend.
Play Providence Friday 7:00pm and VCU Sunday 1:00pm at home this weekend.
Not being ranked is disappointing for this sport.
 
Men's Golf
Won the Wolverine Intercollegiate with freshman Kyle Mueller winning the event. Mueller is the Big Ten Golfer of the Week.
Headed to Fighting Illini Invitational this weekend.
 
Women's Golf
Open season at Mary Fossum Invitational in East Lansing this weekend.
 
Women's Rowing
Start season vs MSU and ND at Belleville Lake Sunday 10:00am.
 
Men's Soccer
1-2 on the year. Recent loss at Columbia on Saturday.
They take on #12 Maryland at home Friday 5:00pm to open B1G play.
Not being 
 
Women's Soccer
4-2 on the year. Recently beat Toledo and CMU at home last weekend.
They take on Minnesota at home Friday 8:00pm and #9 Wisconsin Sunday 2:00pm to open B1G play.

Have three players ranked individually.
Start season at ITA All-American in Pacific Palisades, CA at the end of the month.

Play at Oregon and Oregon State this weekend
Not being ranked is disappointing for this sport.
