What can a history of 5-star QB transfers tell us about Shea Patterson at Michigan? (SBNation)

Answer: it indicates that chances for success are good. Check this (link) for the full story. The article's specific takeaways:

  1. 5 star transfers usually perform well
  2. Offensive fit matters a great deal
  3. Immediate improvement over the previous QB and general production is possible

It's a pretty small sample size, and a more granular review from Brian will be more helpful, but I think this article is reason for some cautious optimism from a non-OL perspective.

Great SBNation article on McGary

Great article by SBNation on McGary's rise through March Madness and why he is awesome.  One of my favorite lines in the article "Note: We would not be writing this article if Mitch McGary played for Duke, because Duke would have ruined everything that is great about Mitch McGary."

I wouldn't even bother the boards with this, since it really doesn't affect anyone who isn't me or someone who reads stuff written by me.

But hey, I got mentioned twice this week in the main pages for the "Data-Mining HenneChart" thing, and that contrasted a lot with this:

<img src="
Dammit -- I totally didn't save my screenshot"/>

What you would have seen there, if I hadn't closed GiMP without saving just now, is my ban notice from SBNation. I don't know if anyone follows me on there, too. What I did to deserve this banishment was post that poll (which fanbase talks the most about officiating) to several other Big Ten fansites.

Hammertime.

So I guess y'all are stuck with The Original Burner of Ships Behind Him (who wasn't that original 'cause I was only copying Alexander the Great), at least until my minions descend upon Yahoo's offices and free me from my shackles.

If you care to help, write them (or if you are not a lettered person, storming works too). Or better better yet, tell me how a banned guy can get his old diaries off of there -- if they don't want them, I can re-post the good stuff elsewhere.
