I would first just like to express my gratitude to everyone who participated in this game over the last few months.  It was been quite a grind for us mods.  We've had to deal with several moles, switching discord servers, our userbase being nerfed 3 times, and our fair share of adversity along the way, but you all made it more than worthwhile.  I especially want to thank the mgoboard and Seth for your support.  We don't do nearly as well in this game without you.  In fact, we received a lot of flak from other teams for our ability to successfully use mgoblog as a medium for recruitment.

We had a really good night last night, both practically and as far as RNG is concerned.  The numbers had us expected to hold 24.53 territories at the end of the night and we ended up with 26, gaining two from the night before.  Importantly, we slightly widened our gap with Nebraska and all of this despite a typical Friday participation drop.

Last night was a very neutral night for us as far as RNG was concerned.  The final odds had us expected to hold 24.4 territories at the end of the night and we ended up with 24.  RNG aside, it was a very solid night for us as we gained 4 territories and widened the gap between us and Nebraska.

After a neutral-to-decent RNG night the day before, last night's RNG was slightly negative.  The odds had us expecting 22.11 territories at the end of the night and we ended up with 20.  Particularly painful was losing AA on 82% win odds and WMU on 90% odds.  If you've been with us for the last few weeks, you've been able to see how this game fluctuates with its ups and downs from day to day.

Yesterday was the most eventful night in a long time. Stanford and Virginia Tech were both eliminated in the same night. VT faced a 14% chance of elimination and Stanford only faced a 1% chance. Hopefully this tilts the battle in our favor in this last week.

Michigan (23) is currently in second place behind Florida (28) with Nebraska (19) making a final push to win. We urge you all to please remain active in this final week. This is the last week you have to make votes and to push towards a victory here.

There's no way to sugarcoat it, we had a pretty awful roll last night.  Based on the numbers, we were expected to have ~26 territories at the end of last night.  We ended up with 21, which was 5(!) under our expected total according to the actual odds.

Despite our lousy luck last night, Michigan's 21 territories is still good for second place under Florida’s 26. Nebraska is in third right now with 16. There is still plenty of time to push ourselves into the top spot.

We had a solid day last night and buffered most of our midwestern presence. Unfortunately OSU stole akron from us and continues to be a thorn in our side.

Right now, Michigan is second place with 23 territories under Florida’s 26. With the help from our MGoBlog users we can push ourselves back into first place tonight!

Not too much changed on the map from yesterday to today. We still have a solo Virginia Tech territory surrounded by us on the west. OSU remains to be a pain in the Atlantic area. Wisconsin is on the ropes in the northeast. Florida is still trading blows with Nebraska. At this point our alliance just needs to remain the status quo and we'll win. With that said, we want to see total domination of the map. The leaderboard is below and the map further down.

Yesterday was the same result as we've seen the last week or so. The Blue Alliance continues to dominate while the Red Alliance is being blown to pieces and experiencing internal issues. Check out this leaderboard. Reminder that Michigan, Florida, Georgia Tech, Texas, and Clemson have been working together against the rest of the teams. We are absolutely dominating. We have more protected territories that don't need defense (11) than Nebraska has overall territories (8).
