Jeremy Pruitt - A Look At Possibly One Of The Best Candidates Available

Jeremy Pruitt - A Look At Possibly One Of The Best Candidates Available

I've heard someone else mention the Georgia defensive coordinator. I'd also love to see him become the coach. He's probably right below Smart and Narduzzi in my mind and he's a young guy. Secondary coach at Alabama for two national championships, Florida State's defensive coordinator for their championship win, and now the coordinator for a good SEC team. I think he'd command a big salary, because I guarantee there are some southern teams wanting him.
He's only 40 and he has familiarity with Nuss. I think he'd keep Nuss on board, which I'd like to see. Bring in a new RB coach(steal Georgia's coach please), a new o-line coach, a new defensive coodinator, and he would run a similar style to Michigans.

The only problem I have at all with hiring him is in 5 years, when he's been successful, I could easily see him leaving for an SEC or successful southern school. Saban will begin looking at retiring by then and who knows how long people in Georgia are going to put up with Richt. I think Michigan has the money and resources to keep him though. If he is successful, I think he will want to stick with the program he has helped rebuild. Especially since Michigan can offer him the resources and money that anyone else could.

Pruitt makes a lot of sense to me. I'd rather Michigan take Pruitt and keep Nuss since they have worked together. If I'm Michigan, I offer Pruitt a 5 year, 25-30 million deal. Money isn't an issue and it seems like Pruitt is fine with moving around. He should at least be good at recruiting with all his championships, Peppers would love him, he's familiar with Nuss, and he has a load of southern ties. He is also young and someone is going to get a fantastic coach in him.

Rising Stars Highlights(Jabrill, Damon Webb, Funchess, Mo Ways, Burbirdge, Gardner)

Recently some of Michigan's finest went to a rising stars camp and they did some 1 on 1 stuff with other players. The list of players includes: Funchess, Peppers, Damon Webb, Aaron Burbridge, Jarrod Wilson, Mo Ways, Devin Gardner, Jalen Embry, and a younger guy from Cass Tech Lavert Hill, among others. Some tweets to go along with the video:

Michigan Fans you got a great one in freshman Jabrill Peppers!!! #realdeal

3 future Big 10 DB standouts - Jabrill Peppers ( Michigan), Tim Cason(Purdue) and Damon Webb(Ohio State). http://t.co/jCs4JUCPDP

— Prepstarsvideo (@Prepstarsvideo) July 5, 2014

Lavert Hill looks good for a high school prospect. Funchess has crazy good hands and body control. Mo Ways looks like a very good receiver. Burbridge definitely looks like he could be elite. Webb looked pretty good. The CB going to MSU(who's name I forget) held the receiver blatantly both times I saw him, so he's certainly ready for duty with MSU. Jalen Embry looks like he'll be a solid player for Iowa. Ball State got a steal in Corey Lacanaria.

Dave Brandon will announce a 'historic event' on Friday that will soon take place at Michigan Stadium

— Nick Baumgardner (@nickbaumgardner) April 2, 2014

Most people on twitter are assuming this is some kind of soccer match. The tweet basically says it all, what "historic" event do you believe Brandon will announce?

While you think about this historic event, that you'll no doubt not want to miss, here is a video of the early enrollees for your viewing pleasure(found right below this post):

Ross Douglas Moving To RB

Ross Douglas Moving To RB

I can't find any definite online source to post here, but it has been confirmed. Ross will be working with the running backs this spring. Sam Webb talked a little bit about it today. Ross is listed as 5'10" and 176 pounds on the official roster. I would assume he will be a change of pace back/possible 3rd down back.

Edit: Magnus has a tweet up about it.

Ed-Ace: This originally came from a board post by 247's Steve Lorenz ($):

This one was not reported, but we've been given some great information that redshirt freshman cornerback Ross Douglas will be moved to running back this season. He played the spot on the scout team last season and we're told he was excellent. Remains to be seen whether he'll be in the mix for carries or what.

Michigan Offers 2016 RB Kareem Walker And Others

Michigan Offers 2016 RB Kareem Walker And Others

Just received a offer from University of Michigan #TrulyHonored #GoBlue 〽️

— Ree〽 (@_KareemWalker) January 9, 2014

His sophomore year highlight video looks pretty good. 6'1" 195 pounds. He has good speed, he breaks arm tackles, and he falls forward after contact. He has offers from West Virginia, Penn State, and Rutgers already. Roy Manning has visited him a few times, so I would guess Manning would be his lead recruiter. He is class of 2016.

Kareems sophomore year stats: 115 carries for 1164 yards and 12 touchdowns. That's good for 10 yards per carry.

ESPN Jr. 300 DE Jaen Dalton (Clemmons, N.C.) offered by Michigan today. No. 158 in 2015.

— Tom VanHaaren (@TomVH) January 9, 2014

Michigan also offered Jalen Dalton who is in ESPN's top 300 Juniors. He is a defensive end from North Carolina.

#Michigan has offered 2016 Traverse City (MI) West offensive lineman Thiyo Lukusa: http://t.co/cHx9EJUpaa

— Steve Lorenz (@TremendousUM) January 9, 2014

Michigan has also offered in state lineman Thiyo Lukusa. Also from the 2016 class, his measurables right now are: 6'5" and 300 pounds as a sophomore in high school. His crystal ball has 4 predictions that all say Michigan. Those predictions are from our very own Ace, Brandon, Steve(aquaman), and Anthony Mammel. Ferrigno and Funk are Thiyo's main recruiters. He holds offers from Michigan State and Wisconsin.

His highlights are here: http://www.hudl.com/athlete/2220238/thiyo-lukusa

Michigan has also offered Juval Mollette. He was offered by OSU back in October I believe. Right now the crystal ball predicts him 100% to UNC, and he is from NC. He's a big receiver at 6'4" and 190 pounds. Reportedly runs a 4.6 40 yard dash. He is class of 2015 and is a 4* recruit. We'll see if he has any reaction to Nussmeier being hired.

His highlights are here: http://www.hudl.com/athlete/o/563314/juval-mollette

The last news I have to offer is that Jeff Jones crystal ball now predicts him to Michigan. We'll see how well his visit goes and how much Nussmeier being hired affects him.

You no longer have to hit use old embed code on youtube if you're not the original poster. New videos that are uploaded on youtube no longer have the option of using the old embed code. However, using the normal embed code from youtube now works. Also let's be honest, I just wanted to share this knowledge with you to be able to share the video.

I did also want to make everyone aware about the youtube video stuff. That way if you go to share and don't see the old embed code you don't have to worry. The new embed code will work just fine as well.

Edit: This only works though if it is not the first post. The new code seems to not work in the OP. As I mentioned though, new videos on youtube don't always have the option of the old embed code now. If you are the OP and there is no old embed code to use, I would just make a post right below your OP. That is what I did below to share you the new code works.

Russell Bellomy Is Back, Shane Is Taking First Team Snaps, and Gardner Is Out This Week

Russell Bellomy Is Back, Shane Is Taking First Team Snaps, and Gardner Is Out This Week

Submitted by MJ14 on December 10th, 2013 at 9:44 PM

In practice on Tuesday, freshman quarterback Shane Morris took snaps with the first team as Gardner's replacement. However, Hoke also announced that quarterback Russell Bellomy -- who suffered a torn ACL last spring -- returned to practice Tuesday, as well.

Michigan quarterback Devin Gardner will miss practice this week at least until Thursday with a turf toe injury.

Devin should be fine for the bowl game. I like the idea that Shane is getting a chance to get some first team reps. Also good to hear Bellomy is back.
