OT - Row Designation in the Big House

OT - Row Designation in the Big House

Submitted by funkifyfl on September 28th, 2016 at 10:35 AM

Sorry if I'm missing a board guideline, but I have a quick question regarding row designation at the Big House as I'm trying to get some tickets for Illinois. Several sections at the Big House do not appear to reach field, more specifically Sections 5, 7, 8, 10, 14, 16, 17, 27, 29, 30, 32, 36, 38, 39, and 41 (OCD is an awful thing). My question is whether seats in these sections use the same row numbering as the others.

In other words, is Section 5, Row 1, actually at the same height as say Section 6, Row 20? Or alternatively, does Section 5 just "start" at Row 20, and Section 5, Row 20 is right next to Section 6, Row 20? Thanks in advance for any info.

How Jim Harbaugh made Michigan a national power once again

How Jim Harbaugh made Michigan a national power once again

An interesting article on Harbaugh's genius in gaining national attention for the Michigan football program, and increasing the recruiting footprint.

A few quotes:

According to Repucom's Celebrity Davie-Brown Index (DBI), which measures and qualifies celebrity influence and relevance both locally and worldwide, Harbaugh is unmatched by his peers. The index, which features more than 7,000 celebrities, doesn't include every FBS coach, but Harbaugh's Celebrity DBI score of 54.24 ranks higher than Ohio State's Urban Meyer (45.31) and Alabama's Nick Saban (44.37).

Hoke also signed the nation's No. 6 recruiting class in 2013, but his approach was more regional. The 2013 class had 17 prospects from Ohio or Michigan, and only four from outside the Big Ten footprint, including top-rated recruit Derrick Green (Virginia). Hoke signed only two California recruits and three Florida recruits in four classes.

Best place to buy and sell tickets?

Best place to buy and sell tickets?

A non apparel related thread seems to be unwelcomed around these parts lately, but here goes. Im a newly minted season ticket holder and will only be able to make it to two or three games this fall. I've looked into selling the tickets to the remaining games on stubhub, craigslist, the mgoblog spreadsheet, and mgoblog/tiqIQ site.

Which methods do you all have experience with and which are the best and worst? I like the idea of craigslist and the spreadsheet because theres no middle man. The seller makes a little bit more and the buyer save a little bit vs stubhub. On the otherhand you have very little protection with craigslist, not sure about the mgoblog spreadsheet. Stubhub also has a pretty cool feature that allows you to see what the tickets have sold for.

One more question, can you trade tickets on the mgoblog ticket spreadsheet?

The new banner has some serious pop, and I've not seen a thread to discuss its wholesome appeal.  So a discussion (and incognito posbang) thread seemed appropriate.

"I don’t get sick. I don’t observe major holidays. I’m a jackhammer.”

Well done, MGoBlog.  Well done.

[Edit - As a couple of posters have politely noted below, there was another THREAD on this topic last night.  Since the number of other posts have pushed it off the screen view, and folks are enjoying the thread, we'll see if the mods leave this up.  In the meantime, share the love!]
