Unbeaten boxer Floyd Mayweather will fight UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor in a much-discussed boxing match on Aug. 26 in Las Vegas, a well-placed source told Yahoo Sports on Wednesday. Mayweather is expected to make the announcement on social media as early as Wednesday. Terms of the deal were not available, but it will either be at the MGM Grand Garden or T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The Nevada Athletic Commission on Wednesday approved the request from Mayweather Promotions to put on a boxing card on Aug. 26 at the MGM Grand. The venue could change, however, to T-Mobile.

Pacquiao-Marquez getting under way right now, I guess I'll watch, hoping for Pacman to win so that there is no longer any excuse for Pacquiao or Mayweather to keep ducking each other...though you know they will keep ducking.

Here's the best stream I could find for those interested:

Over the last few weeks as I have watched the entire drama unfold hoping this fight would happen I noticed a lot of Pacman fans making excuses and accusing Floyd Mayweather of finding a way out of this fight. Its not a valid argument from my perspective.

This truly would be one of the biggest fights of the last 30 years & with boxing on its last leg as a legitimate sport of interest it needs to happen. Nobody ever gets to see the 2 best fighters in the world fight at the top of their games.

But as I hear the chat out of both sides it is plainly apparent that Manny is the one avoiding this fight. Who sues & asks for an apology in the world of sport fighting??! Pussys or frauds from my POV. Because if I was in Pacs shoes and Mayweather was required to take the same testing as me I would be more than ready to take him up on the offer and prove to the world I had nothing to hide.

What I find very interesting is that Pacman is more than willing to fight Paul Malignaggi who basically accused him of the same thing not too long ago. What is the difference? None. Absolutely none. Other than the fact that Manny Pacquiao does not want this fight. Its sad for boxing as a sport when the only attraction you have is never going to materialize. So much for that fight night party at my house I was going to have.
