If your family is anything like mine, you cooked way too much and have a enough leftovers to feed a BIG HOUSE crowd several times over. We had fried turkey, smoked turkey, roasted turkey and I think I even saw a JIVE turkey running around somewhere.
I wanted to come up with something different for the leftovers. Sure, we can make the standard hot turkey sandwich tomorrow, but this is THE GAME. I think this one deserves a little extra, don’t you? I decided on the Thanksgiving Day FATTIE. These are legal now, right? You may remember the breakfast fattie from a few seasons back. It’s basically a stuffed sausage roll that you smoke (Or toss in the oven). Here is the link to the last fattie we smoked for the opener.
- 1 LB roll of your favorite ground sausage. (SAGE works great)
- Cranberries (Optional)
- Salt/Pepper/Thyme/Rosemary COMBO
- Maple Syrup
