[On3]

The 2024 recruiting rampage continued this weekend when Michigan picked up a commitment from 3* LB Cole Sullivan on Friday night. Sullivan's commitment was trending this direction but came a bit sooner than anticipated, giving us more Hello content:

Despite being a recruit with two national powers vying for his services, Sullivan hasn't lit up the radar all too much to this point. However, based on the tape, I would not be surprised to see him as a late riser. ESPN, to no one's surprise, has never heard of Sullivan, while the others are varying levels of tepid. On3 is the highest on Sullivan, making him a top 10 player in Pennsylvania, the other two much lower. The end result is a soild 3.5* prospect, ranking 8th out of 10 in our very limited collection of players classified as hybrid space players since 1990. Everyone is in agreement on Sullivan's weight (200 lbs.) and close together on his height, 6'3" or 6'4".

[AFTER THE JUMP: lanky, athletic, but what is he???]

Michigan nabbed its first 2024 commitment this week in 4* OLB Mason Curtis of Nashville (TN). Curtis made an unofficial visit to Ann Arbor last weekend, and then quickly tossed his commitment to Jim Harbaugh & Co.

A bit of uncertainty over Curtis' dimensions right now, which is something we'll discuss in the scouting section. The sites diverge on height somewhere between 6'2" and 6'4", and on weight between 185 and 205. It's pretty up in the air, but this is a young prospect who is not fully on everyone's radar when the main focus in the recruiting world is 2023, not 2024. Curtis is a consensus 4* prospect, inside the top 300, and there isn't a ton of variation between the sites when it comes to rankings. One of the tighter ranges that I can recall in writing these posts.

[AFTER THE JUMP: what position is this masked man?]

Michigan Football picked up a new commitment today... for the 2024 class. 4* LB Mason Curtis of Nashville (TN) announced his pledge to the Wolverines:

Curtis is 6'4", 200 lbs. and is currently a consensus 4* prospect. The 24/7 composite rates him 203rd nationally, the 14th ranked LB in the country and the #2 prospect in the state of Tennessee. Curtis is the first prospect that Michigan has nabbed for the 2024 class and the hope is that this propels recruiting momentum as July rolls around, when several top 2023 targets will be announcing their commitments. Jim Harbaugh and his staff have recruited the state of Tennessee rather well in recent years and Curtis only adds to this. Kody Jones and Myles Pollard were Tennessee prospects in the 2022 class and Junior Colson was a Tennessean in the 2021 class. Both Colson and Pollard were from the Nashville area as well.

We will have a proper Hello up later this week.
