UPDATE: The VIP+Shirt level is now available.

This is what it sounds like. A comedy roast, by professional roasters, bloggers, and radiomen, of John U. Bacon, online, live, at 8:30 PM EST of March 6, 2021, with all proceeds going to the Ann Arbor Comedy Showcase, because if we don’t we probably won’t have it anymore.

If you want to see it, it’s $10 for the first 150 people and $15 after.

Also there’s a VIP hangout after.

Right, we’ll also do a VIP hangout/Q&A with Bacon and the roasters after the show for those who want to give a bit more.

Also a Shirt

And oh right, there’s a shirt option on the Eventbrite too. We’re still getting the design ready but it’s based on this:

I’ll have a post when we have it ready. We’ll run the shirts the way we do for HTTV: I’ll email you a link you can take to put in your order and then it will track through Underground Printing.

TIERS

ARGH there’s an error on the signup that will get fixed this morning in Pacific Time, but this is the plan:

  • $50: Gets you into the show + the t-shirt + the VIP chat after the show.
  • $30: Gets you into the show + the t-shirt
  • $15: Gets you into the show
  • $10: Same as the $15 for the first 150 people who sign up.

The error is there’s a $25 show+VIP option on there right now.

[After THE JUMP: How it came together]

It was 2015 and the number of beers clinked to the word “Harbaugh” was already well over a million, with snaps still at zero, and hours to kickoff still over 24. Matt Demorest and I were both asked to take our nervous selves out of our respective homes. We met at Ashley’s, sent out a tweet, and Football Eve became a thing.

It’s on a Wednesday (most of the time) because the original first game was on a Thursday. Also because if it was any later the clinking would lead to a lot of broken glass.

Where: THE CIRC BAR (https://www.thecircbar.com/) on 1st street (right by the Blind Pig).

When: 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, Aug 28

Sponsor: HomeSure Lending—if you’re buying or refinancing, spend less for better service. Owner Matt Demorest is buying the first round.

See you tonight.

Reposting because there's an important UPDATE:

We are moving FOOTBALL EVE (still 7pm Aug 28) to The Circ Bar at 210 S. First Street (next to the Blind Pig), which was recently renovated and is gorgeous. Unfortunately our original venue ran into a snag with their opening, but we'll get in there soon.

The three events:

Details on all three AT THE JUMP.
