An interesting question here - Belgium and England play and the winner wins the group G and the loser is guaranteed 2nd place in the group.
Matches later today (2 ET):
Switzerland vs. Costa Rica
Serbia vs. Brazil
As it stands currently, Brazil and Switzerland will advance. If Serbia can pull an upset, they'll advance. Plenty of intrigue.
Also, with a stunning 2-0 loss to South Korea this morning, Germany has failed to advance past the group stage for the first time ever. Sweden wins the group, with Mexico advancing in 2nd place despite being pasted 3-0 by Sweden today.
I pledged $15, but when I received my confirmation, the confirmation stated that I opted not to receive the guide. Not sure if this was a quirk in the kickstarter campaign, but I am unsure how to ensure I receive this year's preview. I tried using the "Contact Editor" tab, but it was a dead link. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
We had a solid day last night and buffered most of our midwestern presence. Unfortunately OSU stole akron from us and continues to be a thorn in our side.
Right now, Michigan is second place with 23 territories under Florida’s 26. With the help from our MGoBlog users we can push ourselves back into first place tonight!
Looks like it's my turn to create the thread!
So? Who ya got, and what's on tap?
For myself, I am hoping for a Poland victory on Sunday. And I've just poured myself an All-Day IPA.
Brazil v Costa Rica 8am ET
Nigeria v Iceland 11am ET
Serbia v Switzerland 2pm ET
Brazil wins, Nigeria v Iceland is THE GAME today, and I think Malinkovic-Savic will have a hell of a game today for Serbia.
Today marks the official start of summer (which is apparently several MGoUsers' least favorite season. To each their own, I suppose...)
So, what have you all got planned for this summer as you enjoy the sunshine and warm weather in anticipation of a huge fall football season?
Slow day and thought others would appreciate checking this out.

Denmark v Australia @ 8am ET
France v Peru @ 11am ET
Argentina v Croatia @ 2pm ET
Denmark won in a squeaker against Peru, France was underwhelming and Argentia "lost" to Iceland. On paper the Argentina v Croatia game seems to be the the primetime show for the day, but I wouldn't be surprised if we see some fireworks in that France/Peru matchup. France v Peru will be a more interesting game than it seems on the off. Vamos!
Matches of the day are:
Portugal v Morocco 8am ET
Uruguay v Saudi Arabia 11am ET
Iran v Spain 2pm ET
On the surface, each game is 1/2 way interesting. Morocco, Saudi Arabia, and Iran all have very tough opponents. I'd be shocked, SHOCKED, if this wasn't 3 wins for the 3 favorites, but of course that's why they play the games. Tally Ho!!
