Matches of the day are:

Portugal v Morocco 8am ET

Uruguay v Saudi Arabia 11am ET

Iran v Spain 2pm ET

On the surface, each game is 1/2 way interesting. Morocco, Saudi Arabia, and Iran all have very tough opponents. I'd be shocked, SHOCKED, if this wasn't 3 wins for the 3 favorites, but of course that's why they play the games. Tally Ho!!

Day 3 thread:

France vs. Australia

Argentina vs Iceland

Peru vs. Denmark

Croatia vs. Nigeria

Will France underperform as I predicted? The first 40 seems to say yes.

Will fan favorite Iceland steal a point from Lionel Messi and the lackluster Argentine side?

Other storylines?

I am considering switching to Satellite, but I am worried about snow and rain losing games.  Some people say that this is a problem from the 1990s and that a properly pointed satellite will be fine today, others say no, it is still a problem.

So is rain and snow going to ruin football games?

Are there any other issues to know about with satellite TV?

A preference for one satellite service over the other?

The World Cup, one of, if not the greatest sporting event in the world is upon us once again. But, sadly, for the first time in a long time USA did not make it. So, what is a soccer fan, even a casual one, to do? Don't worry - the World Cup is still full of passion, excitement and compelling story lines. I'm not the biggest soccer fanatic on mgoblog, but I LOVE the World Cup. Some of my fondest memories growing up and even in adulthood involve the World Cup.
