OT: Help Finding Hopslam in CA

Submitted by WichitanWolverine on January 27th, 2018 at 2:27 PM
Can anyone help me find Hopslam in the High Desert area? I live about halfway between Palmdale and Bakersfield. The Bell's website is no help as it indicates there is no Hopslam at all in SoCal. I've called the Bevmo in Palmdale and no dice. I'd prefer not to have to go down to LA but I'm a Hopslam addict so I'll probably bite that bullet if needed. Thanks in advance for any help.

MSU hid full conclusions of 2014 Nassar report from victim

I'll let legal minds tackle this, but it seems like this is heading to very, very serious legal territory for MSU. Their actions seems more systemic and pervasive than even the actions taken by PSU.

Disgusting.

MGoBlog Camping Trip... Good idea?

I'm not sure if this has happened before, but I was wondering if there would be any interest in the MGoBlog community going on a group camping trip in Northern Michigan or something. It would be cool to mix alumni and non-alumni fans alike and discuss things like football, try Michigan breweries, and just hang out. Reserving cabins up north is very affordable, especially with a large group. We could even make t-shirts with our avatars and associated screennames. Thoughts? I'll help organize if there's interest.

My uncle dropped out of Michigan medical school to open his own CFP firm. He was, like me, a poor kid from Ohio. He was also the inspiration for me to graduate from Michigan as a first gen student... He called it "The best education and the best football tradition 500 miles from home. He was just diagnosed with Stage 3 pancreatic cancer. He's got a 41% chance to survive 5 years. I'm not a religious person, but he could use your kind thoughts and prayers. Like him, Mgoblog is a source of encouragement for me (minus some of the hawt takes).

I'm really tired of these racist trolls peppering comments throughout every goddamn post.

Can we just make it so users with -100 MGoPoints or worse automatically cannot comment? And then maybe in the weird case where this was undeserved, they can be restored by the mods?

With the generosity of the Michigan money cannon, the $30,000 fund raising goal for CFS has been met. This means that Ace will be getting some ink based off of someone's UM themed tattoo idea.

So let's have a posbang/tattoo idea thread to celebrate.

Also, you can still donate to the cause here - https://www.crowdrise.com/o/en/campaign/in-honor-of-the-anbenders-lets-find-a-cure-for-cfs/

Not even close to on topic here, but I would hope that my fellow MGoBloggers are aware of the funkiest band currently known to man, made of all umich grads, Vulfpeck. It's a band with a core of 4 musicians from the UM School of Music, Theatre & Dance and they GROOVE.

I'd recommend you start strictly on YouTube. Bandleader Jack Stratton has created a live music video for almost their entire discography. And bassist Joe Dart is recognized among the best living.

See you on the other side.
