I'm going to be in St. Paul on the 5th. I wasn't planning on going to the games but if I'm going to be there anyway hell yeah I'm gon' do it.

Grab the best tickets I can find on StubHub now (need 2) or will there be a better opportunity from the athletic department? I have no idea what I'm doing, new to this...

Did a decent job of STAY OUT OF THE DAMN BOX yesterday. Gave up a PPG, but won the game. So keep doing that.

I'd like to see Dancs make some of those power drives to the net and score today.

BU beat #1 seed Cornell; may they now leave like Air Force.

When: 4PM ET

http://www.espn.com/college-sports/story/_/id/22873247/nhl-ncaa-hockey-… Interesting read from a bunch of different perspectives. They interview players from 11 different programs who now play in the NHL, including Copp. He gets some good jabs in, though I wish he would have been more enthusiastic about our chances this year over random programs he knows kids at.

Yes! We're back in the NCAA tourney in Mel Pearson's first year as head coach, facing off against Northeastern.

When: 4:30 ET

Watch: ESPNews (or maybe check out this thread)

Listen: MGoBlue audio

Aim High: crazy stuff, Air Force upset St. Cloud St 4-1. ND needed OT to beat MI Tech 4-3, as did MN Duluth, which beat MN State 3-2. Providence edged Clarkson 1-0.

BU leading Cornell 2-1 very late in the 3rd.

Let's Go Blue! Beat the Huskies!

Apologies for cluttering the board, does anyone know of any bars in the Staples Center/LA Live area that will be showing the Michigan hockey game today? Aka, will Tom's Urban be showing the Michigan hockey game or should we find somewhere else to pregame? Thanks all, and Go Blue!

Probably a little early for such a thread, but on the chance someone has an answer before the game starts. Michigan plays Northeaster at 4:30pm on ESPNews.

Any suggestions for those of us with cable packages that do not include ESPNews. My current package includes ESPN and ESPN2 but I am locked from watching ESPNews on their watch app.

Hoping the only solution is not wild wings or somewhere as I'm really hoping to watch the game at home (Mom out of town and watching our 3 month old today)

Thank you for any help!

Saw it on twitter, link below. The better hockey fans will have to chime in on whether it increases or decreases his chances of leaving after this season. Personally, a senior year in Ann Arbor sounds better than playing for Edmonton, but who knows.

Philly gets a 3rd rounder three years after taking Marody as a sixth. I think it probably indicates how far he has come to improve his value. Winning the B1G scoring title sure helped.

This is the appropriate reaction to Plink-O. [wiki.com and cnn.com]

I wrote this last year. It is more or less what I will say now, but with a couple of things shifted and an update to 2018. All of the block quotes are highlights from my previous piece. Later on this week, I will have a Northeastern/overall 2018 tournament preview. Let’s begin:

What Could Have Happened in 2018:

Final Top 16 (PairWise plus Conference Tournament Winners):

1 St Cloud State
2 Notre Dame
3 Cornell
4 Ohio State
5 Denver
6 Minnesota State
7 Providence
8 Michigan
9 Northeastern
10 Clarkson
11 Penn State
12 Minnesota-Duluth
13 Boston University
14 Princeton
15 Michigan Tech
16 Air Force

If we’re going to do Best-of-Three matchups at home sites, the format would follow the pattern of 1v16, 2v15, 3v14, 4v13, etc. We will need to take into account: 1.) no intra-conference matchups in the Round of 16 and 2.) travel costs versus bracket integrity.

Most of it seems fine. We’ll have to switch Penn State and Minn-Duluth, but the rest of it actually looks good, with a few already-close matchups. We could have St Cloud State and Notre Dame swap timeslots so that it's not as late in South Bend, but I’m guessing the Irish would rather be on national television. Obviously, there would still be an OCTO-BOX-esque RedZone channel, as well.
