Your Thoughts on ND-Syracuse

Not a great slate this weekend, but I'm super interested in the ND-Syracuse game. Something tells me that Syracuse might win. Not sure what that would do for UM chances at the playoff, but I always enjoy an Irish loss.

Your thoughts on this game, on others?

The greatest game by a RB in Michigan history.

347 yards, 5 touchdowns. 50 years later, still Michigan single game records.

He passed away last Saturday. I wrote a piece on that game if you want to read more about it and about his life: http://theblueprintmichigan.com/50-years-ago-today-the-greatest-game-by-a-michigan-rb-ever/

Really sad he never got his day at Michigan Stadium to be honored. Hopefully they will have something for him tomorrow.

I understand if you are hurt and can't play, but Ed Oliver obviously isn't hurt, and he looked like an idiot last night.

Hi all! Rutgers gained the most yards of any Michigan opponent in the 2018 season. Rutgers! To put that in context, Rutgers gained 82% of the total yards MSU gained against Michigan in a single play. That single play was the longest play from scrimmage (80 yards) for Rutgers since they joined the Big Ten in 2014.

Herbstreit strongly favors Michigan over Ohio State in a week and a half.

Of course that's what we all want. I think given the last three years, Michigan will leave nothing to chance, and will crush OSU. And yet, with the BPONE, I'll believe it when I see it.

In Matt Miller's most recent draft board, Miller excludes Haskins claiming that his sources have indicated that the sophomore QB will return for the 2019 season.

There has been a lot of talk about the CFP rankings recently with Michigan's chances for a playoff berth hinging on how the committee ranks teams. Joel Klatt has had several interviews where he talks about how ACC and SEC teams are being overrated to try to bolster the resumes of Alabama and Clemson to ensure that they get into the playoff regardless of whether the lose a game. He then goes on to compare their CFP rankings to FPI as a way of showing how overrated these teams are. This was a misstep on his part in my opinion as he is comparing apples to oranges.
