Does anyone have insight on the Al Borges-Gene Chizik connection from their Auburn days?

Correct me if I'm wrong but it seems than current Auburn HC Gene Chizik and Current Michigan OC Al Borges were on the Auburn coaching staff together in 2004. Does anybody on here have any insight as to what type of working/personal relationship the two had with each other? My thought/ hope/ question at this point would be whether or not Gus Malzahn would be willing to meet with Al Borges and his staff this off-season (based upon the Chizik and Borges relationship). I think that would obviously be a fantastic way for the current staff to learn how to properly use Denard Robinson in a way similar to Cam Newton. Please forgive if this has been discussed in depth, but I do think the idea is a great one for the coaches to pursue. Any thoughts or insight?

The Big Ten Icons website didn't do a very good job of locking down their images for the top 4, thus through some easy snooping I was able to identify the top 4 Big Ten Icons. Below is the list of names, as well as the 'Locker Picture' for each.. hosted on the big ten icons website.

Interesting Hokemania Tidbit

Interesting Hokemania Tidbit

I was perusing Fox Sports Senior Bowl commentary and came across this little tidbit that made me feel better about the Hoke hire.  What is interesting is that the person making the observation was not trying to pump or push Hoke or his staff.  The relevant quote:

Vincent Brown, San Diego State, WR

Brown looked like a veteran receiver all week. He caught the ball correctly away from his body and it’s obvious that he has been coached well (emphasis mine). Brown does an outstanding job of coming back to the ball — a trait which few young receivers possess, coming into the NFL. I doubt there were any other players who helped themselves this week more than Brown.

Does Tiller want to advise the world on exactly what his definition of snake oil is? WR AJ King had his scholarship offer from Purdue pulled b/c of the type of surgery he had to repair his knee (used cadaver ilo own tendon). His high school coach has righteously and awesomely banned Purdue from their school.  Before you begin with the excuses, read the coach's comments.

Magnus I read on TTB that you're going to a conference where Hope will speak. You don't have to beat his ass, but a question on this issue wouldn't be out of bounds.

For those of you that follow me on Twitter you already know this, but OL Jake Fisher is announcing on Signing Day at 8pm. I'm not sure what he's going to do, but I'm not really optimistic about it. We'll see.

The second part is great news. LB Kellen Jones was selected to play in the USA Football Team USA vs. The World game on Signing day. There's a ton of big names in that game so it will give Kellen a great chance to go up against some top talent.

Details and the website are here. http://www.usavworld.com/2011/

think that's a stupid headline?  well here it is:

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=6077210

that's right, iowa has decided that the hospitalized players can work out provided that their tests show that they're capable of doing so.  which, you know, would've made sense the first time, and i think every human expected to be the rule prior to allowing them to work out again.

way to go iowa!

Impact of New Administration Positions - Vollmar & Lopez

Does anyone have any insight on how these hiring's will impact the Program?  Who held these positions under RR and what impact (if any) will Vollmar and Lopez have?  While much has been said about coach and players, how do these admin-type positions impact the program?

http://www.mgoblue.com/sports/m-footbl/spec-rel/012811aag.html

University of Michigan head football coach Brady Hoke announced today (Friday, Jan. 28) the hiring of two administrative positions within the football program, appointing Mike Vollmar as the associate athletic director for football and Bob Lopez as the director of football operations. Both individuals will work closely with Hoke on the administration and operation of the Wolverine football program.
