B1G & Bowl Games

B1G & Bowl Games

So far today, B1G standing tall against a tough order of games.

- Northwestern beating SEC Miss St.

- Nebraska with a slight lead against SEC Georgia

- Michigan within 1 score of SEC S. Carolina (1 Special Teams play making the difference)

Now, Purdue is getting wholloped... but you can't make Chicken soup out of Chicken Poop.

For a conference that was not supposed to win any of its bowl games, we are not doing too shabby today, especially against the number one conference in da'Universe.

This is either today's game plan or a Schembechler quote from the early 1970s:

"Take care of the football ... can't give up big plays ... secure the ball ... keep the ball inside and in front and elimate big plays ... stop the run."

The ugly uniforms are ugly.

There was a nice article in the Blade on the first Notre Dame Michigan football game which occured in 1902 in Toledo, Ohio.  Here is the link.  The article is too long to post but was an interesting read.
