UConn adding 2000 seats for Michigan game

"The University of Connecticut plans to add more than 2,000 temporary seats to its 40,000-seat football stadium for September’s game against Michigan." I stumbled across this article and it made me think, why are they adding "temporary" seating instead of permanent? Their stadium has been 90% full the last four years. I understand that their conference situation is up in the air but they must still have aspirations of building their football program. It seems like a small expansion would be a step in that direction. Maybe I just don't comprehend the cost of 2000 temporary vs 2000 permanent. http://www.registercitizen.com/articles/2013/03/15/sports/doc5143a9cfa2…

I'll begin by throwing out the obligatory "sorry if this is too OT, mods delete" statement.  Anyway, I'm in grad school at NMU in Marquette and am perusing the class list for the fall semester and happened across a Weight Training and Conditioning course taught by former WR Marcus Knight (who happens to be the WR coach up here, for those wondering why he's at NMU).  I'm debating taking the course for laughs 'n giggles, since I go to the gym regularly anyway, and was wondering if it was bad form to take the course simply because it's Marcus Knight and/or to talk to him about his Michigan days.

Something tells me it seems like a bad idea, but I thought I'd get the crowds opinion on this.  I don't plan on being obnoxious or anything, just thought it'd be cool to say I've taken a class with him and maybe pick his brain a little bit.

Didn't see any reference to this on the MGoBoard, but the details of GMat's contract extension are out:

Mattison, entering the final year of a deal that pays him $750,000 annually, signed the three-year extension earlier this month. The new terms call for him to make $835,000 in the first year in 2014, $875,000 in 2015, then $915,000 in 2016.

Money well spent.

Was just searching youtube for some highlights for an upcoming video on my channel, and I found this which was from during the week after the 58-57 win over state.

Devin & Trey were in studio and Denard called in. Interesting that Burke said Jalen Rose is a mentor to him.

And neither will Ohio State's.   Apparently, neither program would agree to move its air time, so BTN decided neither will air live.

Game kicks off 12:30 on April 13th.  Will be aired on BTN at 9:00 P.M.

The Wolverines’ spring game is slated to kick off at 12:30 p.m. on April 13, while the Buckeyes' game is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start. The Big Ten Networked announced Thursday that neither program agreed to move its game, so neither will be aired live.
