ED-Seth: Welcome to our Bar Finder Sticky. The user community has kept this going since 2009 to help MGoBloggers find UM-friendly sites for their suds consumption.

We also got a big boost in curation in 2016 from our sponsors, the...

THE ORIGINAL POST:

A couple weeks ago, I put together a google map with all of the Michigan bars I'm aware of (and also everything from the spreadsheet that bouje has been maintaining.) The map is here.

Hopefully this will prevent the "where's the Michigan bar in Pittsburgh/Fresno/Topeka/wherever" threads that pop up every week, but if your favorite gameday hangout isn't on here, put it in the thread and let me know.  I'll do my best to keep the map up to date.

Proper away game experience @ND 9/1/2018

Proper away game experience @ND 9/1/2018

The football gods have smiled upon me and presented an opportunity for my first away game experience. It just so happens to be the ND game! I have never been to South Bend. I want to ask the board for advice how to "properly do an away game at ND". The MGoWife and I traveling up from Atlanta. What has worked for you in the past? What hasn't worked? Where was your favorite place to go before/after the game? There was a similar thread posted yesterday about traveling to/from Rutgers and how to navigate the terrain. Thanks in advance!

Here's a topic that's rarely been discussed. /s  The board is so busy right now, but there will still be a lot of replies. /s If this was the old board, I'd get a ton of upvotes for starting this topic. /s

On to the topic.

Should Peters have started?

Yes. Reason? Because.

Thoughts? Comments?

Every day has been fairly painful. Can't wait for college football to start. For that matter, please bring all the kool aid from fall camp ASAP - will chug it down. What are you guys upto?

Also...Harbaugh to NFL has re-started in earnest: http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/24059595/25-nfl-predictions-2021-leveon-bell-future-dallas-cowboys-win-super-bowl-next-three-seasons-more

First time throwing an RV tailgate

First time throwing an RV tailgate

I went to PSU for a rather epic tailgate last year. I'm not your classic partier but this setup was too special for me not to be impressed (2 adjacent RVs, parked on grass Friday night through Sunday morning, a few paces from the stadium, with 10 friends plus significant others...and somehow our party grew to 50 or 60 strong by absorbing fun strangers).

So 2018 is my first chance to host these guys on my turf and try to duplicate or top 2017. But now I see that the golf course doesn't permit RVs and the Blue Lot won't allow even one overnight stay, let alone two in a row.

I don't know who this YouTuber is but he popped up on my feed.  He built a mock-up of a chrome Michigan helmet.  This is not sanctioned in any way by the school (as far as I know) so it's not happening in a game (as far as I know).  It's just an interesting take on what a chrome Michigan helmet might look like, so I thought I'd share.  Don't shoot the messenger.

Michigan Football: Donovan Jeter Moved to NG (according to report)

Michigan Football: Donovan Jeter Moved to NG (according to report)

According to "The Times" of Beaver, Pennsylvania, Donovan Jeter has been moved from Defensive End to Nose Guard.

“I remember in high school I used to hate double teams. I just hated the thought of going inside. But now I’m 310, 315 pounds and that’s what I’ve got to do.”

Jeter had impressed Michigan’s coaches enough during spring and fall camp that he projected to be part of the rotation as a true freshman. But Jeter’s path hit a speed bump toward the end of fall camp when he tore his meniscus in practice.
