ED-Seth: Welcome to our Bar Finder Sticky. The user community has kept this going since 2009 to help MGoBloggers find UM-friendly sites for their suds consumption.

We also got a big boost in curation in 2016 from our sponsors, the...

THE ORIGINAL POST:

A couple weeks ago, I put together a google map with all of the Michigan bars I'm aware of (and also everything from the spreadsheet that bouje has been maintaining.) The map is here.

Hopefully this will prevent the "where's the Michigan bar in Pittsburgh/Fresno/Topeka/wherever" threads that pop up every week, but if your favorite gameday hangout isn't on here, put it in the thread and let me know.  I'll do my best to keep the map up to date.

McMurphy Hints at Further Information Drop

Brett McMurphy hinted this morning that he has additional information to reveal.  I imagine he plans on waiting for the outcome and decision of the BoT and President.

High Level OL Breakdown

High Level OL Breakdown

Here's my take on the Michigan OL situation, and the issues that the coaching staff has to balance as they move into the season. Note that this leans heavily on previous performance where available, but also has to take into account some sort of projection. The scale of quantitative words goes something like: worst, terrible, very bad, bad, below average, average, above average, good, very good, great, elite, and is based on the start of this year, not some future year.

META : Why can't we update the depth chart anymore?

META : Why can't we update the depth chart anymore?

I always thought it was cool that established mgoblog users could update the mgoblog Football depth chart. But now, apparently we have lost the privilege to update this information as roster moves are being made. As a result  the depth chart looks grossly out of date and less useful. I don't know if the new and improved site caused this issue or if it was disabled after somebody screwed it up. Regardless of the reasons, I would like to get an understanding from the community. How can we fix this moving forward? (10000 points threshold to edit?)

For the season opener.

I'd say 9.5. Need to start off hot and prove something if we have any hope of making the playoff. Something to note is no team has won the national title with zero losses yet in the CFP era. Dropping the opener and having to win 12 straight games is a daunting task.

Chris Evans just posted his transformation picture after an off-season under Ben Herbert and it literally looks unreal. Looks like Chris Evans head was photoshopped onto a body builder. But in the best way possible. Higdon and Evans may actually be thunder and thunder, not thunder and lightning like last season

Board Recommendation of Suspension Likely Coming for Meyer - report from Columbus Dispatch

Siegel and Sullivan provided the latest update, and I found this excerpt to be quite compelling:

"Two sources connected to the investigation said the likely recommendation to university President Michael V. Drake is a suspension for Meyer. Drake and the board could also opt for a “time served” punishment since Meyer has been removed from football activities for more than two weeks."
