ED-Seth: Welcome to our Bar Finder Sticky. The user community has kept this going since 2009 to help MGoBloggers find UM-friendly sites for their suds consumption.

We also got a big boost in curation in 2016 from our sponsors, the...

THE ORIGINAL POST:

A couple weeks ago, I put together a google map with all of the Michigan bars I'm aware of (and also everything from the spreadsheet that bouje has been maintaining.) The map is here.

Hopefully this will prevent the "where's the Michigan bar in Pittsburgh/Fresno/Topeka/wherever" threads that pop up every week, but if your favorite gameday hangout isn't on here, put it in the thread and let me know.  I'll do my best to keep the map up to date.

SOL: Lions promote voting for Stafford for the Pro Bowl

SOL: Lions promote voting for Stafford for the Pro Bowl

My oh my...the Lions are SO disconnected from reality.

Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford hasn’t put up big numbers this season. Through 13 games, Stafford is on pace to post his lowest yardage total, touchdown output, quarterback rating and QBR in years.

Despite that, the Lions sent out a tweet advocating for Stafford to make the Pro Bowl. It didn’t go over well.

Yesterday I called the Athletic Department since we had not heard about seat contribution details for next season -- the amount due and the deadline.  Had to leave a voice message (and have not yet received a voice reply).  However, I found it very ironic that late in the day I received the following email message from Warde Manual (no doubt along with everyone else who contributed this year and perhaps years past):

There's a rumor floating around that safety/Viper commit Quinten Johnson is interested in Maryland. With the hiring of Mike Locksley at Maryland, he has a great reputation in the area, and Johnson is from Washington (DC) St. John's. Locksley was his recruiter at Alabama.

I'm not calling a flip. I'm just throwing it out there, because it's something I heard through the grapevine.

If you were the coach and had to divvy up who to devote practice time to, what would you do?

We play Rutgers next week and OSU the following week? 100% on Rutgers?

Our week one opponent is a non conference and a team and are favored to win by 35pts.  Do you spend some time on The Game?

From most everything I've read and heard this year the team was focused on next weeks opponent and that's it.  I don't know if that's the truth, but thoughts on what we should do going forward, IYO.

Ohio State DT Dre'Mont Jones to declare for draft (and play in bowl game)

Not that big of a surprise considering Dre'Mont Jones almost declared last year before deciding to return for his redshirt junior season. Jones is currently projected as a late 1st rounder/early 2nd rounder.

I'm grateful for any move that gives us a better chance in The Game next year.

Ohio State defensive tackle Dre’Mont Jones confirms that he will declare for the 2019 NFL draft, but is planning to play in the Rose Bowl.
