And then they just added 4 actors to the show today.

Jalen Rose could be heading from the basketball court to your television screen.

ABC has greenlit a comedy pilot, “Jalen Vs. Everybody,” starring the former NBA star and ESPN personality, Variety has learned.

The hot project hails from the team behind ABC’s “Fresh Off the Boat.” Nahnatchka Khan wrote the pilot and will executive produce with Jake Kasdan, Melvin Mar and Mandy Summers. Aside from starring, Rose will also serve as a producer. Khan’s Fierce Baby banner is producing in association with 20th Century Fox Television and ABC Studios.

The half-hour single camera comedy follows Rose, as he juggles his career responsibilities with the challenges of being a single dad.

The pilot order marks the final comedy pickup from ABC for the 2017-2018 season.

Khan and Rose have worked together before — the sports player guest starred on”Fresh Off the Boat,” appearing in one episode. Other than that small gig, “Jalen Vs. Everybody” will mark Rose’s major foray into scripted television.

OT: NIT to Test Experimental Rules

This is not nearly as entertaining as the Dakich v Izzo spectacle or Tom Brady v the world, but the NCAA approved two experimental rules for testing during this year's NIT.  The first would reset team fouls every 10 minutes as opposed to every half.  Each team would be allowed 4 team fouls during each 10 minute segment.  Every foul after four would be penalized by two free throws, eliminating the 1 and 1.

The second rule would reset the shot clock to 20 seconds if the ball is brought in bounds in the front court due to a stoppage caused by a foul or bleeding player.

The 2015 NIT tournament experimented with the 30 second shot clock and the 4 ft restricted area arc, which were both approved for the 2015/2016 season.

Walton racked up 20 points, eight assists, five rebounds and two steals against the Spartans last week before tying his season-high with 25 points to go along with five rebounds, four assists and three steals against the Hoosiers on Sunday.
In the two games, Walton shot 60.9 percent (14-for-23) from the field, 83.3 percent (5-for-6) from 3-point range and 100 percent (12-for-12) from the free-throw line, and boasted a 3.0 assist to turnover ratio (12 assists, four turnovers).

The last Michigan player to win the award was Stauskas, two years ago.
