If you started a new account named something like Dennis2 and used the same picture of a man who is not old b/c he's 37, I'm sure your friends will still recognize you.
I would. And I'm not even your friend. ...unless...? :-D
I just want to recognize that I genuinely appreciate Eastside Maize who had the decency to actually ASK me what I think, instead of make assumptions, generate judgments from those assumptions, and then provide a defense against the judgments that you assumed.
Y'all are telling me that I said things that I never said.
Michigan won three years in a row. What do I need to explain about that?
I never said they won by cheating. Y'all are assuming motives on me that I didn't have nor express. You're jumping the gun on that.
Do y'all think that people outside of Michigan's fan base think it had LESS impact that those inside Michigan's fan base? If you took a survey of people in Michigan's fan base and compare that to a survey of people outside Michigan's fan base, would the average level of perceived impact of those outside M's fan base be higher or lower? It would higher, not lower.
In no way did I express that Michigan won by cheating.
TIMMMAAY, (btw, ironic in a discussion about Tim May)
My post that you responded to said nothing about my opinion about Stalions nor did I make any claims of cheating. I was just saying that people outside of your program's fan base don't dismiss it as much as people inside your program's fan base do, and Tim May saying that does not make him an OSU fan boy.
Nice job being quick to blindly judge others harshly.
I thought YOU were better than this. ...or maybe not.
Chuck, since you’re here let me ask you, where do you stand on Connor Stallions and should there be an asterisk on the last 3 UM wins?
I think Stalions is a dude who loved his team, wanted to do everything he could to help it win, and I believe he meant well. I think Stalions' impact may have led to an advantageous outcome on certain plays, but less likely on the outcome of any game. Just as Michigan's opponents are trying to do the same thing; but possibly Stalions was better at it than most.
No, there should not be asterisk on the last 3 UM wins.
I think the only game that I'd like to see a big, fat freakin' asterisk is the final score of the 2020 game.
Tim May is a Texas native who found employment in Columbus several years ago. So he's not an OSU fanboy, covering OSU is just his job.
May & JUB have had numerous great discussions trading stories about the rivalry that go back to Bo & Woody through the current times. The two of them together are always a great listen.
...I do not see why/how this quote is an apparent shot at Jim.
"Like some of us in this profession (Day referring to himself), he (Carlos) came up not in a football family but grew up and..."
Okay....so he's correlating Carlos with himself that they grew up and found a passion for football on their own, not because of their upbringing. Just because Jim grew up in a football family, so did many others, and why do people think this quote has anything to do with the Harbaughs?
I don't think McCord was pushed out by OSU. It was a surprise to the coaching staff when McCord entered the portal.
I do think Day was hard on him...on numerous occasions when McCord approached the sideline after a failed 3rd down or interception. The Cam Ward talk may have further encouraged him to bolt.
I think there's a great misconception on this board that OSU pushed him out.
Remember in Summer of 2021 when Michigan's weight room posted signs like "What have you done to beat Ohio State today?" ...and it was mocked on this very board. But the point was to establish a culture, a mindset. Do you think it worked?
I like the Chip Kelly hire. BOB felt like an uncomfortable square peg/round hole situation. But Kelly & Day have a long history and share a lot of concepts. I think they'll mesh very well.
Have you hung the Buckeyes 2024 Off-Season Champs Banner yet?
Seems like a good guy. Has a plan/identity for his offense.
The unknown is being a head coach who's never before been a head coach. And to be a first-time HC at a premier program like this...sometimes ya never know. He & Day have that in common.

Denard is a good guy. I believe he's a quality character guy who made a mistake. We all make mistakes. Hate to see him have to go through this.
But if a rival said the same thing as the two previous comments about one of their guys, how much would y'all tear apart that program?
How do you know so much about swallows?
Nick Sheridan.
...he never used his Covid year.
Don't you do everything with plot points? We need to see a chart.

Do you like me?
That guy must be my burner account.
...did I do that right?
I did read it. I was pretending to not acknowledge the rest of it and only focus on the part that brought adulation in my direction. ;-)
...that winky face was about my reference to highlighting the part that brought adulation in my direction.

Cheers to you, Eastside Maize!
Thanks!!!
That was as far as I got. The rest was tl;dr. ;-)

Aren't I allowed to sometimes be snarky?
No? Just a little bit of snark? Maybe?
Please?

That's what National Championship schedules are made of. ;-)
Doi doi doi...I kant rede. ...I jus' a stoopid dumb dumb head. Me got no brain.

I spoke with Ara on the phone once.
Trueness.
Dat how we do it in Red Army, comrade.
Indiana sure can recruit!
Good job, kid.
That sucks. Wish it weren't so.
Even good people can make bad decisions.
I just want to say, 'Good luck. We're all counting on you.'
Stover's blocking is far from NFL-caliber.
He's a good receiving TE, but his blocking skills (or lack thereof) will probably prevent him from sticking on an NFL roster.
Is he any relation to Liam Neeson?
With as much arguing as I've seen on this board, it makes sense.
Hayden had a hard time getting on the field because he was awful in pass protection. It was the biggest, ongoing criticism of his play.
You mean other than what goes on in the Shoe? ;-)
Cedar Point is ever…
Wrong.
Cedar Point is ever and always entirely Ohio.
Come to grips with it. ;-)
I…
I'm gonna spin it that those are 15 pounds of fat and his 40 is 0.25 slower.
That was so last year. ;-)
Fan board commenters are delusional. Don't you know that already?
...doesn't matter which colors they wear.

Quite a reach, methinks.
Sounds like you just figured out the one thing wrong with her. ;-)
It sure is weak.

It's to establish a culture, a mindset.

Rex Grossman was the QB of that team, but he did not take them to the Super Bowl.
So bang…
You took my coach.
So bang me!
Yep. Time to bring down the Offseason Championship banners!
life is unfair
Yea, as a basketball player: De'Nylon de'swishes!

Not yet. Still developing the artwork.
