Somewhat meta: Brian correctly predicted Michigan's score twice the past 3 seasons. Both times, Michigan won 29-7
This is an absolutely useless piece of information that I realized while revisiting some old game previews. In 2021, Brian predicted we would beat Indiana 29-11; Michigan won 29-7. In 2022, Brian predicted we would beat MSU 29-10; Michigan won 29-7. As far as I can tell, those are the only two times the past 3 years he's gotten his score prediction spot on.
What does this mean? I would say it means Brian has some kind of mystic connection to the number 29, but he actually predicted Michigan to score 29 points a few other times in that span (most recently for the Rose Bowl). I think what it really means is that Michigan kicks too many field goals
Brian is a goddamn genius.
2 for 43.
Almost as good as a blind kid with one arm playing t-ball.
I ain't no fancy mathematician, but the number 7 seems different than the numbers 10 and 11, I reckon
Yea I can't get past this minor uh, detail.
When I said Michigan’s score, I meant specifically the number of points Michigan scored. I guess I did not make that clear enough! My bad
Fucking society today. 50% is genius.
It's phrased poorly, but he means Michigan's points scored not the overall final score.
Both times, Michigan won 29-7
That's in the title of the post.
Nope. I double-checked the OPs work. It all checks out.
Close only counts in horseshoes, hand grenades, and MGoBlog score predictions, obviously
You have a peculiar definition of "spot on"
must be government
"Directionally correct" --- it works in corporate too. :-)
As a government-type who has to regularly cite to numbers, I can tell you that I’ve mastered the use of the word “approximately”, so no, he must not be government.

+1 Informative
OP, if you have some more time to kill, I'd be interested in the breakdown between odd and even score predictions. In my mind, odd heavily outweighs even which would be more proof of Brian's fondness for goofy scores like 29.
Honestly I’d love to just compile a spreadsheet of all of his weird ass score predictions and see what I find in general. Seems like a worthwhile offseason time killing project
DO IT
Brian's always rooting for a scorigami
Somewhat brownnosey post
I like Brian too but I'm trying to wrap my mind around writing this down in a post
So which 2 games did he guess the score accurately?
What a coinkydink! My anniversary is 29 July (aka 29-7). And we've been married 34 years, which is the same number of points Michigan scored in the national championship game. Finally: my bride and I are both U-M grads. The coincidences just keep coming! lol
It’s almost like Brian picks weird scores on purpose. Shocker!
