Submitted by WVWolverine on May 2nd, 2024 at 8:53 AM

Anyone in the Lowell Michigan area that could help with something...  and pick up something Michigan football related for me, and ship to me ?  I'd pay for shipping and there would be something in it for you too :)

Not sure how to contact others here, but trying to give my number for txt at [phone number removed per the OP's request].

John’s your cousin?   He’s a great guy.   I see him all the time at the General Store.

When you talk to him.. tell him John says “hello”.

And, though it might look like a lot of other places - there really isn’t any place like Anytown.

Wait. We are talking about John Everyman, right!?

That’s funny - He also says “Hello” a lot and thinks it’s “going to be a hot one” today. His dog Spot sure is cute and his missus always seems to have a fresh baked cherry pie in the window.

Well, have a great rest of your day in Anytown!

You're on the mark - John Everyman is a great guy - and apparently the cousin of another contributor / commenter on the site.

It's going to be warmer - not sure if I'd describe it as "hot" - with a fair chance of rain this afternoon and evening.   As for his missus - it's not only cherry pie - she bakes apple, rhubarb, peach - whatever's in season.   She's a very talented lady - and he's a lucky guy.   The Everyman family has lived in Anytown almost as long as my family has.

I actually had a pretty good back and forth with one of those scammers back in the day. Looked up banks in Africa for him to go to where I was sending the $$ w tracking numbers and everything. Went to several before he caught on and finally replied w a broken English expletive filled email. I was quite proud of myself.

Also discovered a Mark Rober (our 7yo is a big fan) episode in which they go pretty deep undercover to mess with an Indian scam call center. Worth watching.

This goes beyond OT. But I have to say, I am intrigued. How much are you offering this stranger to be your delivery person? Are you paying upfront? Does he or she have to be able to lift 50 pounds? What is this mysterious Michigan swag? Have you tried Door dash?

it's booze...  a liquor store there has the championship bottles.  they'll take my payment over the phone, and hold for me, but they can't ship.  I won't be up in MI again for a month and thought I'd see if someone would ship for me - I'm paying for the booze, the shipping, and offering $$$ or a bottle on me :)

I can help. Just let me put my retainer back in, turn off Family Guy, and grab my AP Calc textbook and I’ll ask my mom to give me a ride over to the liquor store where I’m sure they’ll gladly hand over your multiple bottles of hard alcohol to a stranger.

Gee whiz, Mister. You sure are a nice fella.

In all seriousness, best of luck and I’m intrigued by this new-age booze running endeavor.

C'mon, you can't just describe it as "booze" to we degenerate alcoholics that comprise the MGoCommunity and leave it at that—what kind of "booze" is in the bottles?

Cabernet? Chardonnay? Bourbon? Single malt Scotch? Gin? Everclear? Zima? MD 20-20?

God - I wish Zima!!!!  how amazing would that be.  MD 20-20 would be pretty funny.  the engraving would cost more than the bottle (that was my first drunk in 8th grade - got a guy to buy me a bottle at the gas station with a crisp $20)

it's Woodford Reserve...  I'd post a picture if I could figure out how haha.  do a google search on Woodford Reserve Michigan and look at images.  they have all 3 - Big 10 champs, Rose Bowl, Natty
