I felt it was a rather…

I felt it was a rather sloppy ST game for us. While Moody’s blocked FG makes this easy to say, it was a combination of this, along with Henning being inconsistent in my eyes, between his nice return and what appeared to be his muff at the end. Returning the favor with a blocked FG of our own was nice, but we also need to remember the offsides that led to an IU do-over and pinning us on our 1 vs. it sailing into the end zone as it had initially. We’re too seasoned a ST group to make these mistakes, and it worries me that they’ll surface to a larger

extent when we play better competition. With Big Ten games thus far being closer than we all imagined, I can see ST miscues being the reason we drop 1 we shouldn’t or limiting our ability to keep the pressure on someone like OSU heading into the 4th.

Bell executed the 1st pick…

Bell executed the 1st pick play quite well by pivoting and turning back to the QB to flash. I believe this mitigates a flag being thrown as the receiver is entitled to run his route. If he hadn’t turned to flash, a flag would/should have been thrown. I could be wrong, but I believe they ran the same play on the opposite side for the 2 pt conversion that failed.

Didn’t it take a Ross injury for us to finally see Mcgrone? If not for that, would Mcgrone still be waiting his turn?

Larry Johnson has been…

Larry Johnson has been coaching with either PSU or OSU with success since 96. If he wanted to be a head coach by now he would be. Guessing he’s had chance to at smaller programs, but passed on those chances hoping something bigger would come along. I know age isn’t everything, but he’s 75+ yrs ole and yes, I realize Saban is almost 70, but I don’t think Johnson is who UM would want or would even sniff a short list for them.

Former PSU QB Todd…

Former PSU QB Todd Blackledge who also called the game was the one drawing attention to the potential PI. I believe he tried doing the same on another PI from earlier in the game. Neither instance warranted flags in my opinion. In the end, just a former PSU player looking for excuses.

Agree. Was pulling for TT, but too much Hero Ball towards the end of regulation and in OT. UVA once again had some help, but their Team Ball helped just as much.

I imagine Brad Traviolia; B10 Deputy Commisioner and COO will be in the running as Delaney’s replacement. He’s basically been 2nd in command for the past 15+ yrs within the B10 office. Would imagine Delaney’s has been grooming him to take over upon his retirement.

The naming right discussion and how it relates to our HC's is an interesting topic though considering everything going on of late with Papa John's.

Sanderson was not hired by Sanderson was not hired by Harbaugh. He’s the S&C Coach for basketball. Harbaugh hired Ben Herbert as his S&C Coach.
I believe Burrow graduated I believe Burrow graduated early so wouldn’t have needed Urban’s sign-off. Could have went to Nebraska just as easily as LSU.

Granted a few hours left to convince myself differently, but my wife and I have all but made the decision to not renew.  We live close to South Bend IN, and while having family in the Toledo area makes it convenient when traveling back for games… all the factors many have mentioned above have started to take their toll.  We’ve even been fortunate in giving those tickets we don’t use to customers and then expensing them, hence limiting our losses as we still of course eat the PSD.  We’re not Alums and have only been season ticket holders for 6 years so while selfish to say, it’s somewhat comforting hearing those who’ve been much more invested not renewing as well. For us the decision is more or less two fold.  From a personal side, it’s realizing sooner rather than later our 2 yr old and future children will be tied up Saturday morning’s with activities where logistically we’re unable to make the 3 hr trek for most games.  From a fan side it’s becoming less tolerant to what I’ll call the ongoing “excuses” as the youth and execution memes has worn out their welcome.  Having been through it for 1 regime and seeing the direction of the current…sooner or later you have to call a spade a spade.

While possibly wishful thinking…Maybe Jackson remains with the intent to buy Wheatley some additional time to see how things shake out in Buffalo.  In addition if the season goes as we all hope it all but secures Hoke’s tenure and allows UM to lure quality positional coaches without having to address questions surrounding their stability as a staff.

I’m guessing the reason Duke

I’m guessing the reason Duke flipped their benches, was more so due to the marketing and advertising you see spanning the length of the court as opposed to packing in more students along the baseline.  While football’s gotten better, they realize basketball’s their meal ticket.

Taking into account the latest BCS standings (flawed or not) majority of the teams all have coaches dedicated specially to RB’s, so my guess is more teams care who’s coaching RB's than not. By my tally 8 of the 10 teams have RB specific coaches w/ Bama and Oklahoma being the outliers as their RB coaches appear to have additional responsibilities.

MGoStrength;

I know you’re not really implying this, but I don’t want this team to be perceived as being better simply due to weaker competition. Who knows what the offseason will hold in terms of changes and/or retention in terms of our coaching staff, and while it’ll be difficult to compare apples to apples…you bring up an interesting point as I’m very curious to see how Warinner handles what’s assumed to be similar opportunities along OSU’s OL line come next season.  For me at least, it will reinforce or discount the youth and inexperience excuses we continue to hear. I’ll be hoping OSU faces the same setbacks…unfortunately I just don’t see it occurring to the extent we’ve seen along our lines.

Lastly, can’t remember if UTL 1 shared the noon start, but wanted to say it did.  All I can remember is the rain that morning, causing me to panic and/or question were we would tailgate.

As others have said stay away from naming them Bo as it creates confusion in its similarities to "No," and personally I feel it's unfair to your new family member. I've also heard to stick with names that are no more than two syllables as it helps with training. Not defending Fickell’s

Not defending Fickell’s decision to kick the FG at the end of the 1st half as it still didn’t give them a 2 score lead, but Ramzy is incorrect as OSU had 0 timeouts left at the end of the 2nd qtr. If OSU’s attempt to punch it in failed, they would not have had time to spike the ball and run the FG unit on the field.

Taclcelm;

“Trying,” is the key word. Unfortunately the NFL should have simply held Pryor accountable by ruling him ineligible instead of trying to hold him accountable with such a lax compromise.   It amazes me how the NFL, a league concerned so much about its public image especially following the lockout had a chance to make a statement and not undermine its own rules by simply ruling Pryor ineligible.  Yes, I’m a Michigan homer, but what value does Pryor have in the grand scheme of things to warrant the NFL bending their own rules.

Most would say rows 30-50 are

Most would say rows 30-50 are ideal, but for 2 years my season tickets were Row 3 / Section 19.  I have since moved higher, but sometimes I miss the feel of being so close to the field. Being that close and due to the vantage point everyone young and/or old were on their feet majority of the game which is the way I feel it should be.  1st trip down to seats with a family member or friend was always a neat experience as they were always amazed at how close the seats were to the field. I think Section1 / Row 15 would be a great place to be on gameday.

Bentley2121, How long have you been a season ticket holder? Capacity at Lucas Oil Stadium is around 67K and with the amount of tickets offered to the general public today it's doubtful newer season ticket holders will be offered the option to buy tickets, but then again I could be completely wrong. My estimation is the section 1's of the world will jump on these with the newness of the Big 10 championship game.
Those tickets are twice as Those tickets are twice as much for what I paid via ticketmaster for comparable seats. I picked up 2 in Section 639 for $77 each after all the fees.

The UM golf course is 10x

The UM golf course is 10x better than AAGO. I tailgated there for the Iowa game last year for the 1st time.  Prior 4 years I parked @ AAGO when tailgating.  Long story short, they charge $10 less, they don’t pack you in like sardines, they’ll let you save as many spaces as you want for stragglers in your group, and they could care less if you back into your spot and/or pull into your spot to setup shop.  This coupled with the parking attendants being so much more cordial and helpful it’s an easy choice.  Not sure if there’s more entrances, but I enter off South Main which is basically 75 yards before the entrance to AAGO so the added walking distance is a mute point IMO.

I don’t think UM should be

I don’t think UM should be too worried about losing Washington to MSU. I do however feel MSU should be worried about losing Pittman to OSU if the sanctions are less than expected..  With all the past and present DL coaching experience on UM’s staff it’s going to be hard for these recruits to look past this, coupled with all the other benefits of UM in my opinion.

Conventional wisdom would suggest with both JT and TP gone the only one left to punish is the University.

Even if JT was still the head

Even if JT was still the head man @ OSU, and the recent challenges they're facing never transpired I would by all means expect Hoke to have Michigan in a BCS bowl in 3 yrs. I won’t go as far as saying now that JT’s gone he should be in a BCS bowl in less time, but the path in my opinion is a little easier.

Greg Garmon and Wes Brown are two other RB's you hear mentioned quite a bit. Garmon I believe has or is visiting very soon.  As others have mentioned in the past we shouldn't be too worried about RB's as we have upwards of 7-8 on the roster.  For us to take a RB this year they truly need to be elite.

Why are you worried about QB?  Yeah we missed out on Zeke, but Gunner seems to be interested as well as a few other quality prospects.  Remember uber recruit Shane Morris in the 2013 class is in our backyard per se and Denard and Devin still have 2+ years of eligibility.
