but I'm not sure Stu is Jewish. It looks like Stu is playing in the Israeli basketball league now, and I'm pretty sure each team is allowed to have a certain number athletes that are in a professionial Israeli sports league but aren't Jewish.
Burke is very good but I wouldn't consider him a match-up nightmare. A match-up nightmare is someone who is too quick for bigger players at his position and too big for smaller players at his position. Deshaun Thomas comes to mind.
The reason he doesn't have more scholarships is because of his LACK of aau experience. He skipped playing one year, and the year on McGary's/Robinson's team he got injured after a couple tournaments and missed the rest of the summer.
Tim is the Fred Jackson of Michigab basketball. He was the same guy who called LLP the best UM pg since Rumeal Robinson before he even played a game. Take this with a grain of salt.
Jon Diebler, but more athletic == Mike Hart, but faster
I'm fairly certain Trey and Carlton are roommates, so that could be carlton's stuff. Also, taking a picture of someone's room when they are not looking is very creepy and is extremely unprofessional for a daily reporter to publish on his twitter.
Great point guard play, great coaching, and great leadership usually allow teams to excel in late game situations. We have all three of these. Brian seems to think that basketball is played by emotionless robots who exhibit maximum effort on every single possession, thus making a team's close game record random.
Well, when a T25 team plays a FCS team there is no spread but the writers still pick the game. Since there are about 30 - 40 of these games a year, the writers are all really only .500 picking against the spread.
If I remember correctly, the Europe trip also counted as an international studies class worth a couple of credits, and the players had to write essays on their experience when they got back.
I think you made the right move. I chose intern at a small, elite firm that no one outside my industry has heard of as oppposed to a Fortune 500 firm in my industry. So far I'm very happy with my decision and love the interesting work and personalized attention that the small firm provides. However, it was pretty annoying having to explain to all my friends what the hell the company I work for does and why the hell I chose to work their.
These large block parties aren't just students. A couple of years ago on Halloween a couple of thugs from somewhere in Washtenaw County came down and starting throwing bottles at students and viciously assaulted someone. Luckily, a student was able to capture it on their camera phone and the guys were eventually arrested.
I remember Beilein wore a big ring ago 2 years ago when we were on the bubble as well. I'm pretty sure he said he starts wearing it whenever his team is on the bubble to show to the players and serve as motivation.
The thing is, Webber didn't grow up in the inner-city. Unlike the other four members, he grew up in a middle class family. If there was anyone who would have been able to resist the money, it should have been Webber.
Every single 5* Matta has gotten has been from either Ohio or Indiana (which they have owned since Indiana's downfall). While Matta is a good recruiter, it's not too hard for him to pull kids from these places, and once you have a successful program, success breeds success and allows you to get guys such as Amir Williams.
Jamie, any plans for a Michigan "bubble news" post at the JCB anytime soon? I really enjoyed following those the last couple of years. One thing I remember from reading your posts and watching Michigan play the last 2 years is that you never bet against a Beilein team come March. This team is going to be playing its best ball come March.
One other thing: One of Kansas/OSU/MSU is going to witness a court rushing when they come to Crisler. BOOK IT
I've been thinking the same thing myself. Additionally, how can Michigan, who once fired a great coach for getting drunk and punching a cop, turn around 15 years later and hire a guy who has a DUI attached to his name?
I'm pretty sure the Florida play involved Tebow taking a step forward before taking a step back and throwing (similar to the 97 yard Roundtree TD in the spring game). On the other hand, our play involves Denard throwing without taking a step back, which makes the play a lot more dangerous.
Vegas is capatilizing on the fact that the UM defense was terrible last week. We saw how bad ND's offense looked against UM with their backup qb. With BG's qb out, I'd be suprised if they reached double digits.
HEY REMEMBER THAT TIME MICHIGAN WENT 3-9 AND THEN WENT 5-7 AND WE WERE ALL LIKE "These losses are going to make us a lot more grateful when we start winning again and we're no longer going to complain like whiny little bitches when we don't beat cupcakes by enough?"

I don't think it's a coincidence that the noon starts are for west coast teams. I bet Harbaugh and/or Hackett made it for the competitive advantage.
Here is an image of the wolverine that was first discovered in Utah last year:

I thought when you play hard the ball decides to go in?

Those kids in Africa must think Florida is a dynasty right now. 3 straight final fours.
A lot of people don't realize this, but Prince is more than just a shooter.

I think that's a different Jared that hangs out at Subway.

Shouldn't Heininger be able to get a 6th year for next year?
Arizona already lost an exhibition game to a D2 opponent last week.
Is he going to announce the day that he's going to announce the day he announces?
You mean like the first play here?

If ND was selling out to stop the run, I'm curious why we didn't run any Denard play action to get some receivers wide open.

The only thing that could make that post more awesome would be if it was written in comic sans.

Yeah, but he's 27-1 with SAN DIEGO STATE. Say what you want about Fisher, but the dude can coach.
My rankings:
1. What is Shawn Crable hadn't delivered a late hit to Troy Smith?
2. What if Mich players weren't paid by a booster and Steve Fisher kept his job?
3. What if Antonio Bass' knee hadn't exploded?
Sounds like somebody never paid their overdue charge at Askwith...

Forget evaluating our coaches, Dave Brandon should be concentrating on setting Kobe up with Candice Parker.

From watching his high school clips it looks like Michigan robot never shows any emotion on the field.

I don't have to eat dinner beforehand and then can get some FREEEEEEEEEE PIIIIIIIIZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZAAAAAAAAAAAA to satisfy my appetite.
Oh, and there's no way Utah finishes our 3 game/2 sport contract with a sweep.

The cops thought he was the infamous outlaw Twoolf. He had to prove that it was Troy driving.

I'd say the oline is probably within the top 10 in the nation.
