Sat in the student corner and saw five very good goals. Crowd was festive and beer made it fun. Can't wait for next year.
|4 weeks 11 hours ago||It's thundering like crazy now||
right according to schedule. 60% chance of thunder each and every hour of match. 30 minute delay after each strike.
|4 weeks 12 hours ago||Thunder expected all day||
This sucks more than stars not playing. I hope they can play the game. Wonder what the policy is if the game is cancelled ? Looking for poncho now and praying.

I'd get there by 1:00. Traffic will be nuts.
|7 weeks 1 day ago||It's everywhere around A2||
My 17 year old son is into this big time. He is on a travel team with boys from all the schools in and around A2. - they are ALL into it. They are traveling to East Landfill and Palo Alto the next couple weeks and the kids are just as excited to find new Pokemons.
While the game looks cool and it is another fun use for the smartphone, I worry about driving and paying attention to the phone.

Haven't said that too much lately.

No respect. Two in a row away games to the school that f'ed us?
I thought only MSU and Delaney could do that.
And then October 26th?
Clearly we acting like we are second fiddle to ND. Bo was right. The Hell with Notre Dame!

The last scene is so freaking sappy and I cry every time!
Pride of the Yankees too when Lou Gerhrig delivers his "luckiest man" speech.
Worst was on a first date (many years ago) I saw Terms of Endearment. I was awkwardly trying to be real cool. The scene where Debra Winger is dying of cancer and telling her kids to be nice to each other after she is gone, produced a river of sobs, against my will. I knew almost as little about women then as I do now. Anyway, much to my amazement, this turned out to be a real turn on to my date. Who knew?

Wales played harder and somehow scored two of the goals of the tournament. Unbelievable!
They definitely can beat Portugal despite missing two starters on cards.
|8 weeks 1 day ago||Who needs Math? signed the Dark Ages||
Fibonacci started the Renaissance in the Western World by introducing Arabic numerals and reviving Hindu- Indian Algebra. Math and the logic process associated with it is important to every great society.
This is not a criticism of MSU but rather how only a small part of our culture seems to value math other than means to get test scores to get into college.
|8 weeks 1 day ago||Most people here are defending taking algebra||
and negging the OP. Nice try though.
|8 weeks 2 days ago||Sorry... everyone please disregard the last message of mine||
Coding/Progamming has no redeeming value, makes you a total nerd, has absolutely no enjoyment involved with it, makes your brain go soft, and you'll be on food stamps!
|8 weeks 2 days ago||Amen!||
Well said. As soon as I got my Engineering degree I went straight into business. Having a analytical mind through math helps me every single day even though I havent done pure engineering since I got my diploma.

When getting their general studies degree? Serious question. Don't know.

Lots of overpriced guys with high mileage left. We are still stuck with Ericsson and Howard.
But at least "grey" Miller is signed for another year...

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety recently released a report detailing the average fatalities for a long list of popular models. The cars were rated based on "number of fatalities per million registered years." That sounds a bit confusing, but essentially it just means that the length of time a vehicle has been on the road is taken into consideration in order to get an accurate average.
Some of the worst offenders were the Nissan 350Z and Titan, the Chevrolet Cobalt and Aveo and the Kia Spectra – all of which had 100 or more fatalities per million registered years. That's in stark contrast to the cars at the top of the list, all of which average "0" fatalities – these cars have either never had a fatality or the number is so small as to be statistically insignificant.
Models at the top of the list include the Toyota Sienna, Ford Edge, Nissan Armada, Land Rover LR3, Audi A6 and Mercedes E-Class.

No mention of Detroit Vipers and Lansing Lugnuts 1997 championships.
I believe that was the first time a city has won two pro hockey champioships in the same year.
My first child was born in 1997, My family went to the Rose Bowl, and I scored the winning goal in my beer league final.
That was an insanely good year.
|8 weeks 4 days ago||My kids in HS drove a 2004 Sienna Minivan with 170,000 + miles||
Best vehicle ever to transport teams and for your teenagers to drive. I believe there never has been a fatality in one. Mine has AWD so besides being a tank it has better snow traction than just about any vehicle.
btw it has a Lexus drive train, so these babies last for ever. My Toyota dealer uses them as shuttle cars and put more miles on them than a NYC cabbie.
Extremely reliable with little maintenance required beyond oil changes. They do have run flat tires which don't last as long as regular tires.

Great in the 1950's, trash since then.
I do like your emblem though... very creative!
|8 weeks 5 days ago||This was UM losing to Appy State||
Big name team with tradition that has serious flaws losing to a small upstart that really wasn't that big of an upset in retrospect.
Iceland in qualifiers were very good including beating the Netherlands twice. They play hard and disciplined soccer. England's coach was asleep and the team only played with real urgency when Rashford came in (too late).
Results like these keep us watching sports.

|8 weeks 5 days ago||Look at where Chilean players are playing club soccer||
Barca, Man City, Arsenal,...
US players are mainly in the substandard MLS. Starting from a youth system that doesn't promote creativity, and rigid systems of play by overpaid coaches who place winning over individual development - American kids have no chnace to be world class unless they leave the country by their early teens.
|8 weeks 5 days ago||Too much structure for kids today||
Same thoughts about kids not playing pond hockey.
Playing FUTSAL without coaching would be the best. LEarn tricks, creativity, ball skills without fear of being criticized by parents, coaches who just want to win, et al.
|8 weeks 5 days ago||Incredible skill by both teams||
Young American kids need to emulate the quality touches and creativity shown by these teams.

Bradley, Bedoya and Zardes are OT good enough.
