I wish the greater A2 area had more Mexican restaurants like they do in the SW.

It took real courage to uncover what was a song sung by many (not for the first time either) on that bus.
As for the legal repercussions, I think we Better Call Saul...
|2 weeks 3 days ago||LOL no. Just like to get a good practical deal||
and share it my friends here. With good lease deals on solid basic cars, buying a fancy new car is about the worst investment you can make. I feel for new grads today burdened with college debts worried about keeping up with the Jones. Btw I hate most car salesmen...

My assessment is that Daley isn't pounding the pavement in the Midwest. I think just like football some coaches think the grass is always greener outside the MIdwest, and in the case of soccer outside the country.
Someone else mentioned his camps aren't anything special either (vs Burns). I can agree to that based on personal observation.
The level of youth soccer in Michigan has improved greatly in the past 10 years due to the influx of foreign coaches and kids playing competitively year around., some now sadly skipping high school to play Academy. There is no shortage a very good D1 talent.
And just like football, you can't measure field brains, leadership, and passion/heart by 40 times and stats alone. Would like to see UM take a more local approach to recruiting and not just visit top college propsect tournaments looking for 5 stars.

2. leased 2015 Hyundai Sonata
3. Once you pass 20 years of solid marriage and raising good kids, you care little about what others say behind your back, or on message boards.
My wife drives a 2003 BMW 330xi that is VERY fun to speed. err drive. I just want reliable basic, clean transportation and leased a Hyundai for $200/mo. If you don't drive more than 12k mi/year this is a great option. Just turned in my last one. It works out about $29k for 12 years with no car repair bills and always driving a car that is relatively new. Also save money with great gas mileage. If you are looking for a new ride, would definitely check this out.

debate so it is not cut and dried. The NY chapter is calling out the OK chapter (who backs the OU President). I am not offering a legal opinion, or my own, as to what should happen to these kids, just trying to find out information.
My opinion is:
It is up to the offended party as to what is unacceptably offensive. In this case, not a bunch of white people.
If you have the slightest doubt that something is offensive don't post that shit on social media. 10 seconds can ruin your life - fair or not.

Afterall he was the USWNT coach before the whole Hope Solo beching fiasco. The guy is well connected and recruits well.
I have played soccer with Steve Burns who gave his soul for the program. He wont publically bad mouth Brandon but it caught him totally by surprise and you can tell it still hurts him.
|2 weeks 3 days ago||What Brandon did to Burns was inexcusable||
Burns built this club from a club team and had very good success in the years just prior to his unceremonious firing.
It is sad that EMU and MSU can have superior teams with few of the recruiting advantages UM has including a beautiful new stadium. We have the Wolves and HAwks righ in our backyard along with some other nationally ranked u18 teams with elite talent. There is no excuse not to be better.
Chake's lack of real success is a head scratch for sure.
|2 weeks 3 days ago||Some legal background from a CNN article||
It's likely that if the university hadn't acted, the Department of Justice's Civil Rights Division could have stepped in, said Barbara Arnwine, president and executive director of the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law.
Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 "prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, and national origin in programs and activities receiving federal financial assistance," according to the Justice Department.
In this case, Arnwine said, the university likely found that fraternity members appear not only to have discriminated in their membership -- and backed that discrimination with the threat of lynching -- but they've also created a hostile environment.
The university, she said, "would've been compelled to do something to sanction and prevent this fraternity from engaging in racial discrimination."
Arnwine said she wasn't personally familiar with the school's code of conduct, but she'd be surprised if the fraternity members' actions weren't in violation of university rules as well.
All of these reasons are grounds to sanction the fraternity and expel specific members who were involved in the singing, she said.
"A very important part of the lexicon of civil rights law is that you cannot create a hostile environment where you make it so people of different races or religions or women feel they can't function at your institution without being subjected to unlawful discrimination," she said.
|2 weeks 3 days ago||After reading the ACLU release||
I would infer that the ACLU does not think the OU President acted out of his realm of responsibilty. They applaud it in fact.
|2 weeks 3 days ago||Yes, I meant they will get their due process||
This could be a long case if the students decide to pursue.
|2 weeks 3 days ago||Freedom of speech protects you from the Government||
not from an organization you belong to, or work for. I'm sure the ACLU would be all over this if it were illegal. If it violates the students code of conduct, the President is within his rights to expell the students.
I'm sure some lawyers here can elaborate but that is my understanding.

Sammie is definitely a Jewish house. My best man, who is not Jewish, was a Sammie at UVa and that was a great house. The southern angle is a whole different animal, especially when you get to rural areas.
|2 weeks 3 days ago||The big difference today is social media||
There is another OU video going around that shows the Sammie house mom singing the N (not Nebraska) word over and over. She claims it was a misunderstanding and she is not a racist and has friends of color.
Not sure if attitudes have changed much, but they are more out in the open. I found the many houses in the UM Greek system pretty elitist and with more than their share of racism. Just my experience. Hopefully it has improved.

GRIII was lost like most freshman are. The ability to hit a wide open jumper isn't high on my list of evaluating talent.
|2 weeks 3 days ago||good summary||
I really like how things get tangled when these bad decisions are made and the web becomes more tangled. Jimmy is obviously more likeable/humorous than Walter for sure but there are similarities.
Fargo was totally unrealistic on the surface but I immensely enjoyed the same sort of series of bad decisions. (Bob Odenkirk was in the TV series Fargo and played a 180 degree opposite character to Saul, where he was the naive, bumbling cop who always had the wrong intuition).
|2 weeks 3 days ago||Give BB a chance||
If you liked BC's episode yesterday. I mean think if you detested the killings of organized crime and therefore missed the Sopranos and Godfather 2 and 1?
The Star Wars analogy is interesting but Anakin/Vader is a central/main character in both trilogies. Jimmy is just a side character in BB - but has some of the same inner conflicts, so it appears, as Walter, of doing bad things for "the right reasons". For some reason that is very interesting to me. Couple that with good writing, acting and cinematography and it makes for very good TV.
btw good luck to the Wahoos. I am picking either them or Villanova in my B pool to win it all ( A pool obviously has KY going undefeated).
|2 weeks 3 days ago||Good for Kam||
I am rooting hard for the kid. He like most, heck all, of Beilein's kids seem like nice quality individuals that are trying their best. His obviously has good physical tool and a nice stroke.
Don't be surprised if we see a GRIII type improvement as a sophomore. The difference was that GRIII had much better player surrounding him, so his very freshman like plays were concealed to some point.
|2 weeks 3 days ago||Yes Hannibal is excellent too||
Would definitely be in my top 5, but not as subtle. I think you really have to be a BB/BCS geek to like some of the foreshadowing/feeling conveyed by the cinematography. Interesting comparisons though.
Other great cinematography series somewhwere on my list: Mad Men, House of Cards, The Wire, Sopranos, and more old school Downton Abbey. I am rewatching the entire DA series and the second time can really appreciate the good cinematography. Like a good book, it can be enjoyable to see different things a second time around with different perspective. Never had the patience to do this when I was younger.
|2 weeks 3 days ago||Two questions for everyone||
1) Which would be more interesting a) watching BCS first before BB or, b) watching BB and then BCS? I know we don't know what will happen in BCS but I wished I had seen last night's episode before watching BB.
2) Where do you think BCS will go next? I'm thinking the Matlock Jimmy goes into Slippin Jimmy full mode as he launders the Kettleman's stolen money as he moves from his dump office into a corporate office that on the surface caters to jello slurping seniors. Some relationship with Mrs Kettleman would interest meon different levels.
total random thought: loved the shady vet that stitched Mike up. Maybe he helps Mike/Jimmy meet with ABQ underworld characters?
|2 weeks 3 days ago||Irony?||
Mike and his son die for nothing. Very sad.
|2 weeks 3 days ago||This was the 6th episode||
even though it was called "five- 0" ( a reference to another great TV cop show?).
|2 weeks 4 days ago||The cinematography is first rate||
Best on TV in my opinion. The lighting as you say sets it apart. The use of light and dark on the characters faces as they struggle with being good/bad and the use of color filters is fascinating. The train pulling in scene in the first minute sets the tone with telling camera angles and lighting.
|2 weeks 4 days ago||I read the team Kettleman story is going to get real crazy||
More Mike and Mrs Kettleman are good.
