Today my oldest daughter graduated so we were there. She got in grad school too! Second daughter accepted to engineering school for next year! Wife and I couldn't be happier. Blessed to have these women in my life!
The third period was very different than the first one and a half periods. UM was hanging with them in the first but way behind in shots if I remember correctly. UM really put the pressure on in the third for long stretches and dominated during those times. I do think all the time spent in their zone during those stretches took a toll. Great to see them win that one.
John OKorn has credited Pep Hamilton with coming in and restoring his confidence. JOK has the physical talent he showed as a freshman but you have to have a TON of confidence to throw that ball into the middle of a defense and trust that your receiver is going to get there and catch it. Way to go Pep and John OKorn!

A Big Ten Tournament championship would be a nice capper. No doubt in my mind they could do it. The momentum going into the NCAA tournament would be huge! Nobody wants to face them in the second game of a regional.

UM was the better team in the first and third. BU way outshot them in the second but still didn't look like an obviously superior team even then. The whole family really enjoyed it. Daughter number two asked how much season tickets cost. I couldn't be happier.
We have needed three corners plus Peppers for the spread teams. That isn't Wisconsin. They have until that last game to work on it. I like the talent available to step in for Clark. So my concern level is moderate up until OSU. Don't know what it will be then.
As an old man I can tell you that I would be down on all fours too. It's easier on the knees. : )
You are totally right though, he gets out there and doesn't just stand there . He is down there talking with the player. Double thumbs up!
I don't think Harbaugh was sticking it to Penn St. in particular. That's how he will push against any opponent. "Win with cruelty." "Build a callous." This is exactly how he coaches teams up.

They are using just jabs. I think there are uppercuts and other punches that haven't been used.
Even with the bad start in the Colorado game, UM had the lead and tons of momentum at halftime. Getting Lewis could be huge in the nickel package.

But also seems like Don Brown's defense is going to require safeties to cover more. And cover any receiver. We will probably see more breakdowns but I think there are some benefits that come with the defense too.
Also, the preseason polls are based on last year and program history. Personnel change drastically from year to year. There are always teams like Louisville that are surprises and really good coming from nowhere. If the first polls came out in week four, there wouldn't be such drastic adjustments.
Could college basketball be the only other sport to top football?
Play them now. Bring in more talented players next year and maybe players with more talent. They can use their red shirt year if they transfer. Few of them plan to stay five years as recruits.
