So hard to bet this year's tournament. Michigan could obliterate any team in the tournament with a performance like they had against Illinois or Nebraska 2 (or last year's Florida tournament game). Do we know other teams that play a Wisco-style pack line defense?
I'd definitely be on money lines for individual games.

The one tweak I would make is to allow the people or groups with "Superfan" status to pick where they want to be. Not everyone wants to be in the very front. I thought you got better views of the game from around row 25-30 or so.

Rookie receivers rarely make a big impact unless they're the Moss/Megatron level. So as a Bears fan, by all means trade several picks for a guy who will probably not even help that much this year!

Depending on the game time and living in Chicago, Amtrak isn't a bad option getting up there either.

Hey, if he can make it back to be there if either 1) both Morgan and Horford get in foul trouble, or 2) if the team clearly needs an energy boost and Beilein feels like sending in the Berserker to shake things up, it'd only help. I'd trust the staff to not put him in too much, he'd obviously be in no shape to play anything resembling significant minutes, and Morgan has frankly earned the right to start. But it would be nice to have him available even if he could only play 5-10 minutes, a few small bursts of energy to give the others a rest and cause some chaos as he usually does.

Has there ever been a game like Nebraska/Wisconsin this weekend where so many people want to see Nebraska win? I mean, everyone can't stand Wisconsin basketball, and anyone who doesn't want to see Nebraska make the tournament is a blackhearted evil jackwagon. And it's even in the Crapper Flatscreen Center, where Nebraska has been damn near unbeatable*
*does not apply to Michigan

Indiana needed to beat Nebraska, beat Michigan, and then probably win at least two games in the BTT to have a shot at an at-large. They lost to Nebraska. Their path to the tourney now rests on winning the BTT, making this game pretty much meaningless for them, so I wouldn't be surprised if Vonleh sat out again.

They'll have it down to 5 or so by the break, and I see them roaring out in the second half. Too many good shooters on Michigan, and the Johnson brothers aren't going to play out of their mind the entire way.

Too bad, with the new offensive coordinator the best part of the job (asking about bubble screens) is probably no longer relevant.

Robinson drives me nuts when instead of using that ridiculous athleticism to dunk the ball, he instead doesn't go up strong and ends up getting the layup blocked. SEND IT IN, YOUNG MAN.

The game is only unwatchable if you are a fan of an unwatchable team and don't watch the other teams. The "star system" really started in the NBA 5 years before Jordan, with Magic and Bird. Frankly, the NBA is more watchable now than any time in probably the last 20 years.
I lay a fair bit of blame for the crappier NBA period at the feet of the Bad Boys Pistons. Pat Riley took that style to its logical end with the Knicks and Heat except with less talent than the Pistons had; between the Pistons having actual talent and their opponents being entertaining teams like the Celtics, Lakers, etc it was still fine to watch. But as more teams followed the Rileyball method of "they can't call everything", and add in some talent deficit as the great mid-80s talent wave got old, and yeah, the late 90s and early 2000s were pretty ugly. Between rule changes and an influx of talent though the last few seasons have been pretty great.

They use a certain size for the World Cup and it seems pretty standard across most of top level football/soccer, but the actual FIFA regulations ("Laws of the Game") actually allow for wide variation in the pitch dimensions -- length must be between 90 and 120 meters, and width must be between 45 and 90 meters, and the length must be greater than the width.

I know a lot of Indiana alums/fans and they're not exactly thrilled with Crean's coaching either. He can recruit but they all have a pretty low opinion of his game coaching. Seeing his recruiting strategy go wrong is really funny though. And the one particularly good freshman will almost certainly be a one-and-done.

There is another option, and it's one every Michigan fan is quite familiar with from years of "The Fort". "No comment" or "he didn't make the trip, that's all I'll say" or "he's not playing. next question" with a Lloyd Carr-esque glare at the reporter, etc. As someone noted "family issues" sounds like a death in the family or something.

Clearly their best rebounder, especially on the offensive glass. His presence makes it especially easy for Payne to float out onto the perimeter and still have the offensive rebounding presence in the paint, big loss for them.

Small chance my wife and I will pop in for a bit at some point, the weather is supposed to stink (several inches of snow) and that might keep us at home once we finish errands tomorrow.
Local Option does these kind of tappings every month or two. Usually he also busts out a different bottle list for the events that have various cellared stuff on it too, although not sure he's doing that today.
I don't bother chasing any specific beers anymore. The only limited releases I can always get are from the brewery down the street from me because I donated money to a Kickstarter to help them get running. Other than that, if it's at the store when I'm there, I get it, and if not, whatever, there's an unbelievable amount of good beer on the shelves at good stores in Chicago at any given time that requires no extra effort on my part. Hopefully Hopslam will pop up at a bar I'm at one of these days.
