I don't blame him much for the roughing call. Needs to take a better angle to avoid blasting the punter, but I don't know how he didn't get a hand on that given where he was.

The cap is 85 at all times. Harbaugh can't stop someone from enrolling early, but they might not have a scholarship available to give for the winter/spring. Paying their own way, especially for out-of-state recruits, isn't a viable option oftentimes.

I didn't mind it, and an onside that goes farther than a typical one is a good option there. You don't put them practically in field goal range already. And I think it was calculated that either MIchigan would recover, or it would goad Maryland into passing the ball instead of just kneeling on it (which they likely would have done if the kick had gone deep). But if Maryland throws the ball, with that turnover machine at QB, you have a shot at getting the ball in great field position that way too even if you don't recover the onside kick. And then you potentially get another shot on the punt to either try to block it or a Peppers return.
Didn't end up working out, but didn't hurt them either. Kind of thing you can do when your defense is eating the other team for lunch and you have a returner who you think can break one.

Their defense has been very good. The stats and the eye test agree on that one.
Their running back is decent but their offense is not good overall.

Blows, if it had to happen a shame it didn't happen a game or two earlier to give him a shot at a med redshirt if he wanted it. Dude was playing great this year too.
Injuries: you get the death stare.

If you were a Michigan fan pre-Rich Rod you absolutely can believe a team going into a shell and letting the other team back in it.
Hell, Tennessee has blown 3 double digit leads this year, something that wasn't uncommon 'round these parts when DeBord ran our offense as he does there. Remember that old crazy stat how we were more likely to win if we were down a TD entering the 4th rather than up a TD?

For any "buy at the game" there's also ones to wait or to watch for certain prices, i.e., keep going to the site and looking. So, they get extra clicks for whatever ad money they get on their site, and the feature drives traffic there to buy as well, so they get whatever commission they get from your purchase.
If anything, this feature is a way better piece of advertising for them than any actual advertising they can do on the site, and since the feature tells you when not to use said sponsor's services in some cases, it's not the pure "sponsored content" garbage that is infesting publications all over. Provides useful, truthful information and recommendations, but still directs traffic to the site in a way a banner ad, or even simple mentions in content, never could/would.

They were both actually already good last year. More coaching, another year of training, and they're even better.
Too bad the younger brother isn't another Glasgow beef machine, instead he's a 6'1" 200 lb. guy currently listed as a safety on the roster. Wonder if he'll make the 3rd Glasgow walkon to end up contributing eventually.
Also, thank god Tressel lost his job when he did, because Graham was originally going to walk on at Ohio State and not Michigan. If he had gone there, Ryan may have followed.

The picture I've been getting from Maryland boards is we were going to have more fans there than they did this Saturday, so the night game atmosphere probably wouldn't have been a big deal

It certainly helps our chances when you've got mom on the visit and really pushing the academics angle. Anytime we can see that I'll take it as a positive for our chances vs. the Bama/Auburn/LSUs of the world
(less so when we're up against Georgia or Florida)

Unless you're on one of the weird cable companies that doesn't have the overflows (the dish companies both have them), it doesn't really make a difference. The overflows are HD also.

No one had ever effectively sold off hosting a conference home game to a "neutral" site (that was really heavily tilted toward the scheduled road team) until Indiana did it.

The edge of the probability cone still comes very close to that area, so I wouldn't bank on that just yet. If the storm center gets that close, conditions will be horrendous.
I don't know how far in advance they want to make the decision on whether to move the game time. Obviously, if they can wait another couple of days the predictions will be a lot better. They'll probably want to plan such that people will have time to get home before anything hits if it's going to affect the area at all.

I mean, if in the next month they announce that a contract is signed to resume the Michigan/Notre Dame series, it might be the greatest 1st year of an athletic director since ever.

LSU has a QB they barely allow to throw. He averages about 6.5 yards per attempt and has a grand total of just over 300 yards passing in 3 games. Thing is, few teams can stand up to that offensive line and their bevy of talented RBs (it's not just Fournette). And the QB can run too.

Very good to get him in for a game day. And he didn't have a lot of those available, so him using one on us is probably a good sign.

They should do it for Corso. They'd probably throw a parade for him. There's lots of time to go to various great matchups, they've gone to D-III games before even, make it a Lee Corso Day, and if IU is 4-0, all the better.
|2 weeks 3 hours ago||The redshirt is certainly||
The redshirt is certainly better for both Shane and the program overall. Guarantees the winner of next year's QB competition has no fewer than 2 years of eligibility left. Increases Shane's options via grad transfer should he not win the job.

I assume he's being recruited for the Buck spot, which is one of the higher profile spots in Durkin's defense when it's fully implemented.

This was the obvious result the moment we yanked his offer. Two presumed leaders, one drops out, gee wonder where he'll go.
I know Bridges has talked about going to the same place but there's probably a reason most of the commentators think he's going to Kentucky.

What is often called "torn biceps" that requires surgery is a torn bicep tendon; a torn calf is a muscle issue rather than a tendon issue typically - pretty sure the tendon most likely to be involved with the calf is the Achilles which of course gets referred to as its own injury.
|2 weeks 3 days ago||That'd be one hell of a calf||
That'd be one hell of a calf strain/tear to require surgery. I don't think they'd have waited this long if it were that severe to have the surgery. This might be something else.

Much more worrisome is if skycam destroys a player. It tried to kill Marvin McNutt a few years back, camera almost hit him and then it tried to choke him out with the wire.
