Tons of schools have Nike, but Michigan will be only the 5th in basketball to be Jordan Brand - others are UNC (obviously), Georgetown, Marquette, and bane of recruiting this most recent cycle, Cal.

The Kings GM (well, VP of basketball ops, they currently don't have a GM) is Vlade Divac, who is not Joe Dumars, but might as well be.

Hell, FIGJAM's money games in practice rounds still go on and aren't exactly a secret. One reason he and Keegan Bradley wanted to play Ryder Cup together (and did) was they regularly played together in those practice rounds.
And in the old days of the tour hustling on the side with money games was really common, since they didn't exactly make massive amounts of money the way the top guys do now.

My main problem with Adidas was the piss-poor quality of some of the unis they provided. Unless the "tearaway basketball jersey" was intentional.
|2 weeks 3 days ago||Rough course too||
There's hardly any flat spots on the course (I played a few years back), the dizziness is bad enough for a sport where balance is fairly important, but walking that course cannot be helping.
Also, it's a fun course even for not good golfers like myself. Unfortunately they've raised the the price quite a bit from when I took my dad out there and to Bandon.

It's a violation of copyright. Source: I am an IP attorney.
Rationalize it however you want, it's still pretty much the same as stealing physical property. If you like it, pay the 1 dollar and own it.

He was the owner and he didn't give a shit what any of us thought or did. This is an owner that actually said that Stanley Cups were too expensive. Literally the only things we could do is stop showing up and hope eventually he'd start actually losing enough money to give a shit, and pray for his death. Wirtz died just before the '07-'08 season. Attendance increased by 4000 a game that season, and then up to averaging a sellout the following year.
You Lions fans have had it GREAT with the Fords compared to the Hawks under Bill Wirtz. Imagine that now that the Lions make the playoffs and the best players are expensive, the owner mandates that they trade or let go of Megatron, Stafford, and anyone else expensive, including trading a fan-favorite star who grew up in the Detroit area to the Bears or Packers. Because that's what Wirtz did in the 90s. Out went a 25 year old Roenick, out went an in-his-prime Belfour, and then out went Chelios, the fan favorite, born and raised in the Chicago suburbs, to the Red Wings. That's when attendance started to drop from consistent sellouts/near-sellouts they'd had the previous 15-ish years.

Free trips. Uh, why not go? Pretty sure I'd take free trips right now, let alone when I was in high school.

Louisville's pitcher who is a first rounder might not be a first rounder anymore. Most recent Keith Law mock doesn't have him in the first round, and his mock is based off what he hears from industry people and scouts, not his own opinion. Funkhouser (great name, insert your Curb gifs now) has had a severe velo drop (like 5 or 6mph off his fastball) of late and having other command problems.
Unfortunately for us, they'll probably start him against Morehead, which means if we win, we get the guy that Baumann called the best pitcher in the regional.

I almost wonder if the coaches had bitched at him about going deep with those lower percentage throws that he was missing, so then when there was a higher percentage one with the guy wide open on the safety biting on play action, he hesitated and checked down.

What the hell, Countess wasn't kicked out of Michigan, he's a good kid, I thought getting the boot was a prereq to transferring to Auburn?

Bradley must be a really great player if he made the tourney as one guy and a 2 seed no less.
|6 weeks 4 days ago||Do we even have one guy that||
Do we even have one guy that we'd think is as good as Smith? The guys who are still here are either unproven or had problems getting separation on their routes in their game action. The tight ends will be a help, but there's definite concern on having guys open to throw to.

I suspect that if Nairn doesn't take a big step forward, MSU's lineups by season's end will actually feature Valentine as a Pippen-style point forward and just play two shooters in the backcourt rather than have a true point guard. Valentine was already 2nd on the team in assists last year (not far behind Trice) and did play that point-forward role at times.

The only negative reviews I've seen were one guy from the SF Examiner, some English guy, and of course, Armond White. Every single other review, from wide varieties of reviewers, is some variation on "holy shit" and "there's even a real story/theme here not just insane action"

Davis was arrested for weed and Perea was in the room with him where they were smoking. Perea had a previous DUI. This isn't "Creaning" really. In particular they kinda needed Perea, their only big man is the incoming (albeit highly regarded) freshman now.

The chorizo frita with everything on it is the winner.
Back when I was in school, I think the shish tawook (basically seasoned grilled chicken kebabs) with extra garlic sauce (toum) at Kebab Palace was my most consumed meal.

Would have been nice if he'd stayed, but he earned his degree, so he earned the right to head elsewhere too. I can certainly see where playing elsewhere in a zone system where you have to think he can win a starting job (given his success in a zone in 2013) might be more interesting to him than trying to play man press here again and potentially seeing less time on the field.

The bonkers thing with Illinois' baseball team is Tyler Jay is easily considered the best prospect, would certainly go in the top 10 if he was being used as a starter (he may even still end up going top 10), but for reasons unknown Illinois uses him out of the pen.
|8 weeks 5 days ago||He also doesn't want to play||
He also doesn't want to play center, he wants to play a NBA-style power 4 if he can, which might even be part of why he decommitted. Purdue is an enormous team that can use him as a 4. That lineup will be gigantic. If they start, as you'd think, Davis-Stephens-Edwards-Swanigan-Hammons, that's 6'5", 6'6", 6'7", 6'8" 275 lbs, 7'0", with 7'2" Haas coming off the bench.

After horrendous outings last time out, I'm not surprised to see Shark pitch fairly well (and career he's been much better at night as well) and I'd expect to see Sale firing on all cylinders tonight. Sort of bad timing for the Tigers to have the starters line up the way they did. Quintana's turned it around after a rough start to the year too, and you don't get to see either of the Sox's lousy 4/5 starters.

We should feel pessimistic not because of this but because Kentucky should pretty much always be presumed to lead for these kinds of guys. Then if we land one, be happy.
