Peppers at 10, which seems low.

I'm wondering if this year's QB, be it O'Korn or Speight, can hold this kid off next season. Gonna be a battle.
|1 week 4 days ago||LJ Scott (RB) is an interesting omission also||
given his performance last year and how much Sparty likes to run the footbaw.
|2 weeks 3 days ago||Solid suggestion||
I like it.

so Clemons being back at least gives them a guy with experience. Clark, Allen and especially Conklin were very good until Alabama got to them. I see State struggling to run the ball at all with what they have back on the O line. Glasgow, Wormley, Hurst and Co. should keep the running game bottled up, and the MSU passing game will be a shadow of it's former self. I see 2016 being a lot like 2013 for MSU - good defense (McDowell and the LBs are solid), and a poor performing offense leading to a lot of tight losses. The game vs UM will not be a tight loss, I expect a 10+ point margin of victory for the Wolverines.
|5 weeks 3 days ago||I am one who actually reads Draftageddon from start to finish||
Why? Because I love college football and watch a shit ton of B1G games every season. I feel like I actually know something about the different teams, and which players to look for. There have been several occasions where I've watched a game and saw a player mentioned in the later rounds here make (or not make) a big play. Last year's Minnesota CBs would be an example.

the lack of our team's ability to get to the rim. I like this pick up because we need guys that can create their own shots. Should be a nice add. Beilein will always have shooters on the roster. A slasher of Matthews' caliber is welcome.
|7 weeks 2 days ago||That was my thought.||
This has to be a joke or a setup. I can't imagine any real fan with a measure of self respect doing this.
|8 weeks 1 day ago||Somebody needs to stuff||
Sankey's mailbox with the list of recent SEC violations and current investigations. Copy Paul Finebaum on that same list. Unreal how these guys stand on a dirty soapbox to complain.
|8 weeks 3 days ago||I know softball isn't exactly a revenue sport, but||
was anyone else surprised at Hutch's salary, or lack thereof? I was thinking that she might be more highly compensated given her success.
|8 weeks 4 days ago||I do think||
the heads will continue to roll. The caterwauling won't stop until more moves are made. Grobe may "convince" some of the other coaches to depart and do some repair on their character.
|11 weeks 5 days ago||Baruti appears to have||
some skills Beilein could work with.
Any reason to think the TOEFL is an issue? That comment struck me as odd that he needed to pass that first. Maybe it is just my lack of understanding on how these things work...
|13 weeks 1 day ago||On the cash issue,||
I cannot fault Tunsil, especially when he's asking for money for his mom's utlity bill. That is stupid pressure on a college kid to provide for his parents. Hell, the kid saw the cash at Ole Miss as a way to help his family. I get that.
That being said, it is illegal, and we've all known that Ole Miss has the absolute best bag men in the game. You can definitely see the walls crumbling around Hugh Freeze. The guy is in over his head. I'd love the NCAA to punish the living hell out of Ole Miss, but they are probably too busy busting MAC schools over impermissable ice cream cones or something stupid like that.
|16 weeks 2 days ago||Very good points about Hollis||
He's done a great job in certain areas and has the football and basketball teams on the men's side locked in. His management of other sports is marginal. And could not agree more, the ticket office at MSU is ridiculous. I have first hand experience with how poorly they are run. Taligating rules at MSU suck too.

is awesome. Love it there.
|20 weeks 5 days ago||How wired into hockey is Warde Manuel?||
A quick review of UConn's records over the years doesn't lead to me thinking he was pressing hard to make that a competitive program.
|20 weeks 5 days ago||I'd love to make the NCAA||
just to give the kids the experience, and also for purposes of recruiting.
That being said, I don't think this is a tournament team. With what we have left, we are bereft a go to scoring option, and we just don't have the leadership and poise on the floor that provides the impetus for a comeback when we struggle.
I get so frustrated watching us fold the tent we fall behind early. I don't think this team yet has the mental toughness the weather a storm. I haven't seen it yet, and I don't know if it will happen this year.
Best option for us is to beat NW, then at least play a tight game against IU. If we beat IU, I think we can rest easy on Sunday. Lose to IU, and we might be waiting for the NIT brackets to get released.
Overall, not getting an NCAA bid is a step backward, despite the personnel losses. A top program should have enough depth on hand to at least make the tournament.
|21 weeks 4 days ago||No one cares||
who finishes 69th.
NIT is a waste of time. I wouldn't bother tuning in for that mess.
|21 weeks 5 days ago||There is no doubt a shake up of some sort||
is in order. The defense has to be addressed. The development of the bigs has to be fixed.
When you look at the offense, Beilein still has it. The inside curl game that Brian mentioned clearly had Wisky confused for the better part of the first half. Why? Because Beilein saw them cheating the 3 point line and came up with a counter attack. The guy can still coach offense.
The other big issue to me is leadership. Where is it coming from? The answer is no one. There is not a player in the rotation that steps up and confronts the rest when they are not playing well. You'd hope that someone with Irvin's experience would step into that role, but it hasn't happened so far.
Still love Beilein, and say that next year is the real litmus test for his career going forward at Michigan.
|21 weeks 5 days ago||I hate to say this,||
but we are not a tournament team. Not enough depth, inconsistent play from the bigs, poor D, etc. Caris would be a huge help, but he's not showing up any time soon.
I don't see how we make it unless we make a big run in the BTT.
|22 weeks 1 day ago||Really see Glasgow||
having a good career in the NFL. Could see his improvement throughout last year. One question: he seems tall compared to most NFL centers. Could this be an issue?
|22 weeks 2 days ago||I'm very interested||
to see what Don Brown does with the defense. He'll have more talent that he is used to, and I have a feeling he has a plan to cover up any deficiencies at LB. No doubt this will be the most talented DL group he has had.
|23 weeks 3 days ago||Duncan Robinson||
will scorch most anyone in 3 point shooting contest. However, as good of a shooter as Duncan is, he is NOT a Division 1 athlete. Put any decent athlete on him, and he cannot get open for a shot. I don't think it is a lack of effort, it is a lack of athleticism. Stauskas was an elite athlete and could rise up for his shot over tough defense. Duncan cannot do that. He's a star if the other team sucks. If they have anyone at all that can guard, he's toast.
Beilein seriously needs to look at his minutes. When he's not scoring, he's not helping by playing great D or rebounding. I'm not sure who you give his minutes to, but divide them up and see how things go.
Nothing against the kid, I'm sure he's a fine young man, but there's a reason he was playing DIII basketball two years ago.
That being said, Northwestern is upcoming and Robinson will probably go off for 20.
|24 weeks 6 days ago||I agree.||
JB is an upstanding guy and someone you want representing our university. That being said, you'd like a team that is better defensively, which alone makes you less prone to blowouts. His teams are going to continue to thrill on occasion and frustrate on others.
|29 weeks 1 day ago||I was wondering the same exact thing.||
He's not playing like we have seen him play in the past. His has zero lift on his jumper and has been short on many shots the last several games.
|29 weeks 2 days ago||The lack of OH kids has been mystifying me too.||
After I gave it some thought, it started to make sense.
OSU gets pretty much whoever they want out of Ohio. MSU has been picking up the OSU scraps, along with other Midwest teams that need players. Harbaugh realizes that FL, CA, TX and to a lesser extent, states like LA, AL and NJ, produce the number and type of quality athletes required to compete nationally. He's not afraid to pass on OH kids and recruit against the big boys. I actually like his strategy going forward from a competitive standpoint.
|29 weeks 2 days ago||The most valuable commodity in college football||
very well may be an experienced starter. Barrett hasn't lit the world on fire consistently, but he knows Urban's offense and will have talent, although unproven, surrounding him. Given all OSU's losses, though, tough to not see them take a slight step back.
|29 weeks 2 days ago||MSU certainly acting like Davis is back.||
Nothing official that I've seen though.
|29 weeks 2 days ago||Even one of the MSU beat writers called them||
a borderline Top 25 team. Their D will be OK, but the offense loses a ton. I see the 2016 MSU team a lot more like their 7-6 2012 team than the teams of the last 3 years.
|29 weeks 2 days ago||I have no doubt that Harbaugh will have the next QB||
whoever he may be, playing at a high level. As mentioned, Rudock had virtually no time with Harbaugh (29 practices, are you kidding me?) to get the offense down while actually running plays. His ascendancy throughout the season was unreal. Harbaugh truly is the QB whisperer. If O'Korn possesses the tools we all believe he has, the season could be very, very special. The receiving corp is the best in the B1G by far, and he should have an adequate running game to rely upon. Can't wait to see how it plays out.
|29 weeks 3 days ago||The probability chart made me feel a bit better,||
but those 7 games are a tough matchup for us. I think Iowa can be undone both at home aned on the road. Maryland will be tough both home and away. Glad MSU has to come to Crisler. Purdue is beatable, although visitors tend to struggle at Mackey. I'd like to see 3-4, but 2-5 won't surprise me if we have an off shooting night or two. On the other hand, if we are red hot at home like we were against PSU, this could turn into 4-3 or maybe something better. Beilein will have them ready to play regardless. Looking forward to seeing step 1 vs. Purdue on Thursday night.
