It works the opposite way as well. If there is a designed run play, denard catches it, tucks it away and then runs. I wish he would sell it as a pass alittle more to get the LBs in motion. But the LBs see him put it away 5 yards behind the LOS and they come straight for him without hesitation. |
| 2 years 28 weeks ago | My thought was to have DB |
My thought was to have DB step up and make a statement. If I were DB I'd put together a small commity and go find the biggest whale dc money can buy. I'd tell this dc that he can hire in who ever he wants and will have full control of the defense and will get 3 year deal reguardless of what happens with RR. I would then turn to RR and say I'm going to sign you for another two years on the basis that you have minimal input into the defense. With the idea you keep the sweet offense and make for a stable head coach situtation. You give the d the best chance at turning things around and you get the dc out from under RRs thumb. |
| 2 years 31 weeks ago | youth? |
Youth is the standard reason cited for this defensive down turn. I think its often overlooked that GERG has senior linbackers that he has personally been responsable for. He has also coached them for the last two years and they are just as bad as the young secondary. These are coachable problems too. Poor tackling, making bad reads, finding yourself out of position. There is alot of youth in the secondary and that does account for alot of the problem. However, pinning it all on that and then being unwilling to listen to anything else isnt the answer. In fairness, calling for RRs head every loss isnt the answer either. |

I live in Columbus and once went to a bar downtown that had the block "M" painted on the inside of all the urinals. So naturally i emptied my bladder on the floor instead. lol |
| 2 years 49 weeks ago | I just dont get it. UM is |
I just dont get it. UM is struggling to stay relevant in football. We are quite frankly, the laughing stock of the Big Ten at this moment. I don't care if DD will go on to be genius. Is it any big suprise that a football player might be alittle underpar academically? I know it's a "no-no" to talk about, but what football team consists of nothing but legit 4.0 kids? Even Stanford will let a player slide if he's good enough. 5 star is pretty good....get him in here. I live in Columbus and i can tell you, bucks fans are having a good laugh at us right now. Not to mention the local radio stations have been reporting and literally laughing on air about it. Why wouldnt the university tell the admittion department to step aside on this one? He's kinda an important piece of the puzzle at the moment. Get picky when we are back to our winning ways and the 5 stars are lining up. |
| 2 years 49 weeks ago | I think some people have a |
I think some people have a distorted view of UM and the academics on a national scale. UM isnt lumped in with schools like Stanford. UM is considered by most to be a "good" school. 99.99999% of the world would say UM (in an academic sense) is on par with OSU or PSU. And schools like them are not only getting multiple 5 star recruits.....they are finding a way to get them admitted. We however get lucky enough to get a single 5 star to still come around and cant find a way to get him in? UM needs to find a way to get this kid cleared. We arent Northwestern. Who respects NW(in a football sense)? Thier football program is a joke and they arent even taken seriously. But ask an alumn and they'll defend with "but we have high standards". Is that what we are aspiring to? |
| 3 years 8 weeks ago | That still runs you into the |
That still runs you into the problem i was refering to. If you wanted to listen to a talk radio show, you would have your amp and subs playing them talking. With a toggle, you can shut the sub and amp off so you can still listen to things with your regular speakers. As for the op, its a subjective thing. People have different opinions on whats best. Names like kenwood, JL, kicker, etc are all safe bets. |
| 3 years 8 weeks ago | Yes, there are many |
Yes, there are many combinations that can and will work together. Dont listen to the comment about how you should get an amp that doubles the max power your sub can handle. This is completely untrue and im not sure why it was said. Its pretty simple. rca's and remote from headunit to amp, power from amp to battery, ground from amp to your grounding point. Putting an inline fuse on your power will help protect your amp from being burnt up. The ground should never be smaller in gauge than the power. Also, its very important to use a very short ground. i never surpass 2ft personally. Once your all set up, you can adjust your system with the high and low pass knobs on your amp. Low pass up with high pass down means it'll be all bass and visa versa. Also, a toggle switch on your remote is a good idea.It makes turning the amp off easy and if your listening to talk radio for example, the amp isnt needed. Hope this helps some. |

I knew Jake was a big boy when i saw him standing next to Mike Hart. You could clearly see that Mike Harts head could easily fit as a life size tattoo on his arm.....and it would be proportionate. |

Years ago i had a friend that fell under the same circumstances. The teacher happened to be condescending and got kicks out of playing the tough guy role on his students. My friend asked politely to use the restroom and the teacher decided to poke him in the chest while stating "no, now introduce your backside to your seat". My friend pushed him out of the way to head towards the restroom and was suspended indefinently. He went on to get his GED, has a job, home and family now. He's never been in any sort of trouble since. |

Speaking of Woodley, i just read an interesting and very impressive stat on him. There are 3 active players tied for the most sacks in the playoffs. Vrabel with 8 sacks in 17 games. Freeney with 8 sacks in 14 games. and Woodley with 8 sacks....but he did it in only 4 games. I know its alittle OT but it didnt warrent its own thread, and the mention of Woodley reminded me of it. |
| 3 years 15 weeks ago | This is good bit different |
This is good bit different from Brocks situation. Brock beat two former ufc hw champs and a well respected veteran with a 28-14 record to get his belt. However i believe Nagy (the man Walker just fought) has a 1-3 record. |
| 3 years 15 weeks ago | I follow mma very closely. |
I follow mma very closely. Walker was fighting what is known in the mma world as a "can". Someone who has no history of finishing fights. Nagy was there for the soul purpose of making Walker look good. Also consider that as mentioned, Strikeforce is far from the UFC. |
