I live in Grand Rapids and…

I live in Grand Rapids and hedged all my bets on getting the jumpseat on our flight to Houston Monday morning. I got on the 0845 flight, landed in Houston at 1115 and knew it was going to be a bad day with the winds were gusting to 40 knots and a massive line of storms was to the west. A couple of the main arrivals from the north for planes into IAH is are Driller along with the Gusher and both were going to get hammered by that line (and did) resulting in many diversions.

I got to the stadium at 1600 and because of the weather people were already in pouring in. The fans (both sides) were amazing and great form. I was in 607 and seated next to Washington fans on my right and 90% of the section was Michigan fans. The Washington fans were very nice for the most part and they’ll be great for the B1GTen.

I moved to a lower section as the game was coming to an end so that I could enjoy the celebration

All in all it was a great experience other than trying to get an Uber out of there. I walked about a mile and a half to a hotel and got one there. I got back to my hotel at 0045, and jumped on a flight to Denver to see Jim Gaffigan last night, and am now home in Grand Rapids. A busy couple of days for sure

I was initially thinking the same thing as it happened and was sitting on the Washington side. The fans were losing their minds but I only counted ten when he ran off.

It’s great to see Atlas get some love. I flew the 747 for them before getting hired by United. I absolutely loved that jet and the VIP charters were tremendously fun to fly.

I just got my ticket and am in Section 607.  I plan to fly in Monday Morning from Grand Rapids. I’m a solo non-graduate, (Wolverine from another University) but I can’t wait to be in Houston and partake in the days events.

The Best concussion still…

The Best concussion still makes me cringe to even think about.  It was absolutely brutal in every way.

Big Ben’s final completion…

Big Ben’s final completion was to Zach Gentry.  Fitting that the QB turned TE showed a little flash of skill at the end.

Peter’s gets a hero moment.  Certainly a long time coming.  Good job Brandon.

Best news of the day.  Coach…

Best news of the day.  Coach is building something great and I hope he stays a long time to see it through.

I was so happy with Harbaugh…

I was so happy with Harbaugh when he came home.  I was at the basketball game when he was introduced.  I went to the Signing of the Stars.  I was 100% onboard and willing to let the process come together.  The time us up.  Michigan needs to go in a new direction and whether it is Fickell or another big name, the era of Harbaugh has run its course.

Where can an individual…

Where can an individual acquire that hat?  I need something to replace my New Era hat with the yellow Old English D on the front and block M on the side.

That game was a travesty…

That game was a travesty from the get go.  I had really hoped that this team would make a deeper run.

V1 is the speed at which…

V1 is the speed at which there is no longer enough runway available to stop.  This speed changes on a flight by flight basis and is affected by aircraft weight, outside temperature, wind component, and wet or dry runway.  I flew ORD-GRR tonight and my V1 was 126 knots on a dry runway, last week on the same route it was 117 knots.  That being said, most airlines have a set speech in the takeoff briefing.  Ours is: “The standard 80 knot reject criteria applies.  Below 80 knots we will reject for any anomalies.  After 80 knots we’ll reject for engine fire, failure, or if the aircraft is unsafe to fly.  Once we pass V1 we will fly the airplane and handle the situation airborne.”  I personally feel that the ending of that briefing should be amended to include verbiage to include situations like this where the airplane wouldn’t fly.  This captain did a spectacular job by bucking the trend and opting to not try and fly his way out of the situation.  He deserves every bit of recognition and gratitude coming his way.  As a fellow airline captain I applaud his quick decision and he deserves recognition from the Wolverine nation at an upcoming game.

I always loved The Nook. …

I always loved The Nook.  They have amazing tater tot creations, it’s right by Piedmont Park and it’s a Big 10 establishment.  The owners are fans of that farm school in EL, but don’t hold it against them.  It’s kid friendly and a great environment.

Just heartbreaking for a kid like this to have his life taken away from him.

ESPN didn’t hold back when it came to slamming MSU over their complacency, nor should they have.

I completely lucked out. I I completely lucked out. I fly for American and my girlfriend flies for Atlas Air. Scheduling let me drop a trip and she had a Los Angeles layover. I snagged a jumpseat on Delta and it all came together. I fully intend to head to SAT on Friday night when my next trip is done. #itshappening
I was in I was in Section 310 and it was an absolute blast. Whenever the FSU crowd would start to get motivated they we’re quickly dominated by the Michigan fans. This game was a great experience, and I can’t wait to go to San Antonio.

Thanks Delta Thanks to Delta for the jumpseat to LAX and to Atlas Air for scheduling my girlfriend a LAX layover tonight, we will be going to the game! Go Blue.
He will be gone when the season ends Which explains why he was crying like a baby at the game.
Nothing to see here Dantonio runs a top notch, and morally superior program.
Close.... They played Slovenia.
Now the board of trustees Now the board of trustees needs to lose a few members.
Heads had better roll Hamilton and Drevno need to get the Kiffin treatment at TPA. They can buy their own damn tickets home. Year after year of anemic offenses is absolute horse shit. As a fan I’ve completely had it. Harbaugh needs to be made aware that the ice is thin and changes need to be made now.
Harbaugh is the recruiting Harbaugh is the recruiting god. Bring him your finest meats and cheeses. I’m sure Bjork is none too happy down in Oxford today. Thanks Hugh Freeze and also to your wonderful bagmen!!!
Good hire This is a good hire by Tennessee. Pruitt is a hell of a recruiter, his players love him, and he talks like the local yokels in Knoxville so the indigenous people will like him. A Yankee like Schiano could never ha we fit in there with his annunciation skills.
I landed in Norfolk last night... I landed in Norfolk last night and the dock looked like it was ready for a massive celebration today. There are four carriers in port right now, and it's an amazing sight to see all of that power. Luckily it was the captains leg, so I got to peek out the window a bit. Unfortunately it's my leg back to New York T 1530, so we will probably run into flow control with the dignitaries leaving.
Kudos to the captain

I am just a lowly ERJ 145 driver, but I can always appreciate good aeronautical decision making, especially at 165 knots..  This captain deserves a round or two paid for by a loyal Wolverine Nation.

He was a man with He was a man with tremendous passion for his city, his teams, and his businesses. It is unfortunate that he will not get to see the impact that his crowning jewel will have on downtown Detroit. He was a great owner, the kind that you never heard players complaining about. He will be missed.
The Wings need to sell... The Wings need to sell at the deadline, get what they can as far as prospects, fire Holland, and call Yzerman home. He has proven that he can win in Tampa as well as with team Canada. It's time to bring someone in who can operate effectively in a league that is set up for parity.
This will be so much better for the sailors This will be so much better for the sailors and Marines who are sleeping below deck during flight ops. I imagine that the new launching system is infinetly quieter than the steam system.
Well that real nice Just rape me with a trident, it will hurt less than a loss to these felons will. Let's hope they quickly adjust.
Harbaugh is in play...

Harbaugh is in play...take it to the bank.  What?  Hell hasn't frozen over?  Ok.  Harbaugh will respectfully decline all things Ohio.

Fuck Penn State Enough said
This who stay (committed) Will be champions! I'm glad he stuck with us through it all and will be in A2 soon! Welcome to a tradition that is unparalleled!
Let's do our part

and pray to the football gods that the dominoes fall our way and we make it in.

I'm out in the woods and hoping for one more deer by 1000, then my all consuming hate for all things Ohio will completely envelop my entire being. GO BLUE!!! Fuck Ohio!!!
We earned that loss Terrible play calling. The Peppers gimmick has been figured out. The offensive line didn't block for shit. Speight couldn't hit the deep ball, defense couldn't stop the run, and a couple of idiotic penalties. Welcome to chaos in the Big Ten East. Let's get this shit fixed, kick Indiana in the teeth, and get ready for those whores in Columpiss.
It makes me proud

It makes me proud that we are bringing in great athletes who also have a sense of perspective about them and who want to get a great education while they are in Ann Arbor so that they can be successful after they are done playing.  I know that Michigan has always prided itself on its student-athletes, but it is good to get a reminder now and then of the caliber of people who we choose and who choose us.

Section 127 Row 2.  I work

Section 127 Row 2.  I work for the Lansing airport, and we are having a huge tailgate tent.  Unfortunately, it will be filled with mostly spartan fans, but we've got beer, so I can manage.

Wow. That was an epic rant

Wow.  That was an epic rant.  I am sure that Josh wears a faded sweatshirt that is two sizes too small, full of his love stains that he made while watching compilation tapes of Suckeye's of the past.  I bet he has a domestic violence charge or two in the past.

The crack dealers

In Piscataway must be rolling in the dough because these idiots are smoking it like it is going out of style.  Jesus, they are beyond delusional.  It's actually comical to read.  Jackasses...

I will be there My company is hosting a large tailgate (they're all Spartans), but I will be more than happy to wear my maize and blue and remind them of where my allegiance lies.
Sit Where You Want You're a Michigan Man. Don't let those Jersey folks tell you what to do, they ski in their jeans. If you like a seat, stand on it and dominate anyone who enters your realm.
The Dude

The Dude needs to just chill man.  This aggression will not stand man.  This...waking Brady...you know....man...will not stand.

Mike Leach Is The God of Pressers!

Bring him your finest meats and cheeses!!  Seriously, he struck gold with that rant.  I hope he turns WSU around and into a powerful program again.

Spectacular speech

You know the man truly bleed maize and blue.  I loved how he said that he is teaching the fight song to his kids, and they will teach it to theirs.  Well done Rich!
