...but I wonder why there was nothing in the "behavioral" category from '93-'96. Would be curious if that was just a good stretch or indicative of a recent change from '97-present. And how that compares to other programs. Those '93-'96 recruiting classes won us a national championship after all...

Why do so many people comment about how much they will miss him/are glad he's gone but spell his name "Jeff" or "Jed" instead of correctly (Jedd)? A) I don't believe that you care that much and B) read.
I'm not saying I like this (because I don't), but already people are comparing us to schools with a pattern of this behavior (LSU and Bama, namely). This is the first of its kind as far as I know for JH at UM. And I'm curious if the people who are gonna flip out about this think it is any different than a school revoking admission to students (non-athletes) who let their grades dip senior year?
WHY do you continue to argue the same thing over and over but at different points in the thread. We get it. You don't like it. Hell, I don't love it myself but you don't see me repeating myself over and over with no actual statistics to back it up. Do more research and come back, or stay home...
He seems to be changing his mind. Initially he said he was not going to be. Then more recently he said he would have to ask his wife. I feel like he should just come out and say it either way
Isn't the goal of every hire a home run? And didn't at least some people (most, from what i remember) think each of the last two were going to be home runs for various reasons? I guess I just don't know anyone who would say "let's not go for a home run hire." Hackett included....
Assuming there is any credibility to that AT ALL, can you imagine if we still suck and have THAT on payroll? Lets hope it's not true...and that we don't suck.
RR was a pretty big "A list" hire at the time, even IF half of the old hats didn't want/like him. Bacon's book has given me an awful lot to think about in the way of counterfactuals, especially since RR was named coach of the year the same day Hoke was fired.
In any case, we all know neither of our past two hires worked out. Now to avoid settling for Schiano...
I am still skeptical 1) Harbaugh is actually considering and 2) that he wont have a mix of the problems RR and Hoke had, as described above by Hinton. So, I have concluded that the only logical choice for HC is Spike, naturally.

That reads to me like, while Webb is unsure, he (Johnson) is still leaning Michigan. Even in the context of Webb's previous tweet...
Or rather that the leaders we have had behind the scenes (excluding the coaches themselves) have been part of the problem.

Did none of you consider the available high school coaches?
RE: your last paragraph: Michigan coaches don't get to year 6 unless they win.
This was a really well-done post. Thanks for the insights
Those Eastern Washington Alums really have it out for us...
It's Ron English

And also to win.
RIGHTEOUS reference, bro.
More importantly, if he wins, he wouldn't have to...

Don't want to believe him. Not going to.
He would take full advantage of twitter and have Kate Upton rip on all his haters. I wonder if he can throw a football...?
