As someone who can't stand Phil Coke, it would appear you're right, as of late. His ERA is down below 5 (which is saying something considering how high it was). He has been in during mostly low-pressure situations, so I'm not sure if that plays a role or not. But he's throw up zeros pretty consistently.

|5 hours 40 min ago||I'm not sure where all it||
I'm not sure where all it will play, but I know it's "nationwide" whatever that means. They're doing two versions of it - one that we're filming inside that will air in the fall, and another that we're filming out back by the pool that will air during March Madness to get people geared up for grilling season. His new venture is a mail order meat company, similar to Omaha Steaks, if you're familiar with that. His has more already-seasoned meats and side dishes, like marinated chicken breasts, bacon wrapped hot dogs, etc.
I hope it airs in GR since that's where I'm from so my parents and friends from home can see it.
I won't be the only non-George Foreman in the commercial, as their doing a similar thing with two other people. I think I'll be the only guy who speaks, though.
|9 hours 49 min ago||I think as long as the Big||
I think as long as the Big Ten champion isn't an upset (and by upset, I mean someone from the West wins) then I bet we'll go to the p-off. MSU and OSU have cred, so if it's one of them, they'll go, and if Michigan (or someone else) comes out of that division over MSU and OSU, then that will be enough to go.
|9 hours 53 min ago||I like that. Only change I||
I like that. Only change I would make is I would take any 3 of Cole/Tate/McMillon/Thompson and one of the DBs.
|10 hours 2 min ago||Is that a good combo?||
Is that a good combo? Because I have Bombay Sapphire in my freezer right now and a lemon tree in my back yard. Well, technically it's my neighbor's lemon tree, but like half of it is on my side of the wall, so I have half a lemon tree. But my half has lemons and that's all that matters.

I won't be drinking tonight because we're filming a commercial at my house tomorrow (of which I will be the focus) for George Foreman's new company, and The Champ himself will be there so I need to be on my game.

You very, very little of what this video showed has anything do with Peppers's ability to play safety, right?
|12 hours 46 min ago||Right, but that's different.||
Right, but that's different. A kicker has a ceiling - you take one and you know for fact he'll be a 3-star if you're lucky. Pallante was just a lowly rated recruit. We chose to take Pallante despite his ranking. When you take a kicker, you don't have a choice. Pallante could have been replaced by a 4- or 5-star. Andrew David cannot.
|13 hours 7 min ago||You realize it's possible||
You realize it's possible that Lacanaria got better than you over the course of the last 5 years or so, right? Boys do so much growing/maturing from 7th/8th grade through the end of high school it's ridiculous. I had a buddy we used to push around in 7th grade because he was so small and he graduated HS at 6'4" 225.
I bet you can't cover him now, since all the D1 guys in that video sure had a hard time with it.

Not to mention 2014 didn't have a kicker weighing it down.

We didn't take a Wormley type, but we took 2 true DTs. That's probably why.

Thoughts: that white kid from Ball State might have been the best one there. Wow.
With a well-thrown ball, Funchess is nearly unguardable. Mo Ways not far off either - he impressed.
Wish we would have offered Jalen Embry - he looks really good.
We need to get Levert Hill, he's obviously a big time recruit.
Peppers is clearly extremely athletic, but needs a little more discipline. That can be pretty easy to teach. It would be nice if he had a little muscle definition, but c'est la vie.

So you think the punishment should be the same for stealing crab legs as stealing a moped? Just checking.

To be honest, I'm kind of surprised KLS isn't on there for Michigan.

Big deal, like 95% of everyone makes that list.
|1 day 13 hours ago||I'm not worried about the||
I'm not worried about the DTs. The starters will likely be Pipkins and Henry and we have guys like Godin, Wormley, Hurst and Glasgow rotating in. Mone enrolled early and is a mountain (a mountain with poor conditioning, but who cares he'll play maybe 10 snaps a game).
Our starting DL will be 2 4th year players and 2 3rd year players, with lots of options behind them. That doesn't worry me.
|1 day 17 hours ago||I hear what you're saying,||
I hear what you're saying, but it's certainly possible that the coaches knew that those other guys were unlikely to commit to Michigan so they got their guy who would. And I don't know if we still have a shot if ND offers Malzone. if he comes to Michigan 20 times with no offer, and shows up to another power progam twice, gets shown lots of love and an offer, he very well might commit and tell MIchigan to stuff it (I know I might have). Then we're left holding out you know what.
Often times on this blog I see "but we could have had (uncommitted recruit X)." But just because recruit X was uncommitted, doesn't mean we had a shot. The coaches probably have a good way of getting the pulse of these recruits, and it's entirely possible that all of the options better than Malzone gave the coaches the "I'm interested but not that interested" vibe, so they offered Malzone.
|1 day 18 hours ago||This is such a dumb example.||
This is such a dumb example. Navarre had a lot of balls batted down despite his height. This does not mean that height is not advantageous for a QB. I'm sure you can find a tall basketball player who doesn't rebound well or block shots well, and that doesn't mean that height plays no factor in a player's ability to block shots or rebound.
You want your QB to be tall. Can shorter QBs still be successful? Of course. But you wouldn't say that you want your RB to be slow because Mike Hart was better than Carlos Brown, would you?
You want your QB to be tall so he can see the field well, not just so his passes aren't batted down. I'm not saying Malzone is too short to be good, but let's not act like that's not an important attribute for a QB.
|1 day 18 hours ago||Doubt it. Johnny Football||
Doubt it. Johnny Football will be all hype until the season starts and he's not playing, and then he'll be nothing. Nike is smarter than that. And even Johnny Football pales in comparison to LeBron.
|1 day 18 hours ago||If this happens, I think this||
If this happens, I think this makes Cleveland the best team in the league immediately. I might be in the minority on this, but I think LeBron, Kyrie and Wiggins are better than LeBron, Wade and Bosh. Especially moving forward.
Just think if they wouldn't have botched the #1 pick last year so bad? It might mean they didn't get Wiggins this year, but if somehow Anthony Bennett comes to form, holy smokes.
|1 day 18 hours ago||Nike just bought up tons and||
Nike just bought up tons and tons of billboards in Cleveland, if that's any indication. More billboards than Kyrie Irving would warrant, let's put it that way.
|1 day 18 hours ago||I'm not sure Kearns is any||
I'm not sure Kearns is any better than Malzone, and it's not like other top programs are drooling over him. Some of the other guys you and Magnus mentioned might be, but the coaches likely had a good pulse on who was likely and who wasn't. Brady White never showed any interest in anyone outside the Pac-12, for example.
It's possible Malzone may have been available in December. It's also possible some program "almost" as good as Michigan offered him before then that he jumped at and never looked back.
|2 days 10 hours ago||First of all, your signature||
First of all, your signature works well with your post.
Secondly - I would be upset with this at Michigan Stadium, if it was done similarly to Ross-Ade. I don't think our stadium lends itself well to something like this. I'm not opposed to the idea of it somehow, perhaps it could be in combination with the luxury boxes some how. Make some of them "party suites" where you can buy beer and hang out, something like that.
But I agree with you that it has gotten to the point where every change the AD makes, even if it's positive (or neutral) comes with a hundred posts bashing DB.

Wrong. Burke was committed before he declared. Burke was recruited to be our back up PG behind Morris, which is why Burke had no back-up his freshman year other than Akunne.

Can you elaborate? I can't tell if you're asking an honest question or if this is just a way to rip on Dave Brandon for something done at a different school.
|2 days 11 hours ago||He should have - this is||
He should have - this is exactly how I expected his career to go. He's not a for-sure NBA player.
What's interesting is that for as big fo a recruit Morris was for us and for how much of a star he was while he was here, if he would have come 2 or more years later, he would have been a solid substitute and nothing more.
